  1. Got board last night, had a spare DNA200 with a blown fuse, i got replacement fuses but could not desolder the old fuse, so instead i added in a 25a blade fuse to the battery positive lead, then got the box my Moonshot tank came in and set about building it into a Dual 18650 DNA... she aint pretty, but she works.
  2. Yeah, had the light been Blue id not have been so bothered... the Red is Very bright at the fire button, it actually lights up your nail...
  3. Ah, damn, thought Evolv had just upped the ante from the DNA 75 and that maybe my escribe was messing about, explains why i could find no info online about it... thanks for clearing that up though
  4. Hi Just got a custom DNA250 mod, the caps for pressing the onboard buttons are clear and light up Red when you fire the mod, now i thought this would be like the DNA75, and i could change or disable the lights, but there is no option under themes in escribe like there is for the DNA75. Ive tried a fresh install of escribe under a new windows user account and still no option, is this right, am i stuck with horrible red lights every time i fire the mod?
  5. I got the standoffs as part of a DNA200 fitting kit from Stealthvape.co.uk, this includes a template for cutting and drilling etc.
  6. I have been using 25awg 317l with the TFR from the wire wizard, normally i make two coils coming in around 0.2/0.25 ohms, spaced in the OBS Crius and run with 70w Pre heat and 50-60w normal, last night i decided to try doing twisted 25awg SS coils in my Aromamizer, came out at 0.1ohms, but using the same TFR and setting from the wire wizard and it was not getting anywhere near the TC limit, at 140w it got very close but was way too hot for normal use. I then used the old Steam Engine TFR Calculator page and downloaded the TFR from it and now it is working great.. just like my normal builds would, but only on my 3D printed DNA200, on my Two Reuleaux DNA200's i get no joy, could this be down to the fact its such low ohms? With the wire wizard TFR and 70w pre heat and 60w normal on the Reuleaux i get to maybe 80/120c, with the old Calc TFR i get 3522C and thottling Instantly... Very odd and inconsistent!
  7. Are your coils spaced or contact, you may have a hot leg which is causing the board to register the temp and reduce your power, also, if you have left the pre heat on Defaults it will be firing 200w... turn it down to 100w at least. Last thing i can think of, check your connections are tight on the coils.
  8. Dont think it is all about saving money either, it just looks much better in Black! and i have the DNA200 version...
  9. My current DNA200 collection: From the left... 3D printed Dual 18650 (133w) Wismec Reuleaux Triple 18650 My own Home made 1550p dual 18650 (133w) Hotcig DX200 900mAh lipo
  10. Or CLONED! But i doubt Joytech have the ability in their tech department and hence why it does not have the added Evolv features of escribe and profiles.
  11. New version loading fine now on windows 10 here too, thank you.
  12. I think this is a fantastic idea and will help some of the people new to the DNA as we see so many requests for custom screens and how to do it and this is quick and simple looking, looking forward to play with it to see, well done and thanks for sharing EDIT: are there any additional files requires such as Visual studio installed? it wont run on my W10 install, i select it and hit enter, see the working icon for a second and then nothing, even tried with task manager open and cannot see any new tasks starting. Comparability checker failed to find a working mode either.
  13. For 3x 25r, the WH should be 27.75, thats 2500mAh and 11.1 nominal voltage, but you Do Not have 7500mAh as the cells are in series.
  14. Using 317l SS and the TFR from steam engine, i have a dual 25awg contact coil setup and running with 70w pre heat, 6.5 punch and 55w normal, temp limit set to 190c in an Aromamizer with the Velocity deck and im getting a nice warm vape and not even hitting the temp limit. It was flaky at first until i gave the 510 threads on my mod and atty a quick wipe to clean the threads and now it rocks.
  15. I saw something similar on my mod with 317l, then i cleaned the 510 threads on both the mod and atty and its been solid since.
  16. @ DannyK9, for the Watt / Hour Calc you enter the Nominal voltage which is 11.1v.
  17. I have had both the DNA40 and Efusion DNA200 from Lost Vape, loved both but sold both and got the Wismec, the Efusion is a well built and lovely mod, but a fixed Lipo that takes hours to recharge was not for me, the Wismec means i can carry spare 18650's and swap out on the go plus should last longer at the 55w i run my dual coils at. I will probably go for the Dual 18650 Efusion at some point though as i do love the form factor and i dont need 200w so will be nice to have a smaller mod.
  18. Considering the wealth of people Not having this problem id be more inclined to say it is the mod build OR your atty builds. Fluctuating ohms is usually a sign of a bad connection somewhere, be it the 510 or the atty or coils. Have you allowed the mod and atty to both sit and get to room temp before putting the two together and saying Yes to the New coil question, have you tried locking the ohms, are you building your own coils or using coil heads? What atties are you using and what coils/wire type, then people might be better able to help you
  19. If using 3 vtc4, just select lipo and enter in 2100mAh and 11.1v, job done.
  20. The last time i got a weak battery message, i connected to Escribe and Device Monitor to check out the battery status... resting voltage per cell was about 3.53v, but when i fire the mod it dropped to 3.2v and under and i have soft cut off set to 3.2v, so i figured this was normal battery sag due to the high Amps it was trying to pull running a Dual twisted TI coil setup @.08ohms at around 50w with 80w pre Heat and 6.5 punch. I have seen similar on my EFusion 1300mAh lipo.. maybe not quite as much sag, but not a whole lot in it...
  21. Ive been doing Dual Twisted Titanium coils @0.08ohms, 26awg wires in my Aromamizers and twisted 26awg single coils in my Lemo 2 @0.18ohms. Here is my latest Build in the Aromamizer:
  22. I charge my Efusion at 1amp and its a good 3 hours which to me is terrible when i can pop out the batteries on my dual 18650 DNA200 and stick in a fresh pair in 30 seconds and the old ones can be charged in an external charger in a much faster time if i need them ready to go.
  23. Some vendors are saying its out in the next week or so... and Wismec claim it has built in reverse battery protection, checkout youtube, TVC and others have quick looks and reviews already out for this mod as they have them in hand.
  24. The Efusion is a great mod for looks and size, but the recharge time is horrible, have a look at this, not released yet, but removes any Lipo issues and prices are currently suggested around £149-£170 with batteries: http://www.vaper-cig.com/wismec-reuleaux-dna200.html
