  1. After finding the Aromamizer, I ditched all others (put six of them in rotation and put my prior six GTs in the junk bucket).
  2. yea...i am doing just that and putting the same wire in all profile slots and locking them all to the ohm build that I use (it never changes). I have to put an end to the phone support for "I got it messed up again".
  3. I see you intended to say "Evolve makes a 510" and I read it as encouragement for them to make a 510 (Evolv do a 510). I did not check the link, but see that it is to theirs, not the new modcrate version that is based on their design, but with (frustratingly) different threads.
  4. Curious as to the language and locale settings for your base install vs your VirtualBox install.
  5. That is based on the evolv 510.
  6. Normal to my knowledge. Battery replacement = hard reboot. I would not swap a battery on a hot atomizer.
  7. I can't comment on the watt adjustment. All mine stay at 200w as I am a TC limit guy.
  8. No bashing perceived. I am just making certain that it is OK to talk about the issue here as most of us really want to add some facts to the discussion. Right now the only issue at play seems to be either grounding related (board and/or 510) or mounting hardware related (extending too close to other areas of the board).
  9. Some general observations here: -Evolve has been aggressive in asking for RMAs for failed boards, and just like there were tweaks to the DNA40, there are or even may have been tweaks to the DNA200 based on these early issues. This forum and their eagerness to accept direct responsibility for mods that feature their product is part of their initial roll out. -There are folks that have many devices and zero issues. There are some like the OP here with many devices and many issues. -I and others have tried to source the "working normally, then fuse is blown" issue, but thus far it is hard to place a cause to that would help a user avoid it. I have deliberately put one board in a non-conductive enclosure and another in a conductive one and have a massive "puff count" on each and have subjected each to some pretty rough environments (left out in the rain, drops, juice floods etc). One has a direct battery solder and the other has a JST battery connection. There just isn't a "smoking gun" sort of indicator yet on the fuse issue other than grounding of the chip and the 510.
  10. I have principally been a Linux user and developer, turned Mac user for the past five years due to its BSD kernel and great window manager (all my Linux tools work and I get a well developed graphical environment). Granted I run OSX on my own hardware so I have liberties that folks that run OSX on Apple hardware do not. Coming from Linux it is a trivial issue to take a given program and back into a way to execute it on my operating system. This thread is basically about how to get what you need out of Escribe using other operating systems and I do see that there is room for some advocacy for a native version. In all honesty I don't see that need as much as others as I really don't need to run Escribe in a regular basis (once or twice when a new mod is acquired and then rarely based on firmware updates). Escribe is really amazing and I get all the use out of it that I need running OSX and am happy to see development cycles going to advancing the chip vs parallel software development. In the long run this type of software is trending towards mobile interfaces regardless (my kids and millennials in general assume that they can use their phone for everything). The recent update also removes some of the need for Escribe in that the base materials that are likely to be needed are shipped with the board and the user can access them without a computer of any kind - which should suit the majority of vapers in that they want to buy and use a device much like one would a blender or other appliance and really don't have the geeky curiosity that would be satisfied with Escribe.
  11. 2/29 was an escribe update only based on international number formats.
  12. And a replacement coil reads? Higher resistance readings are typically related to resistance from the 510, the 510 to atomizer connection and the atomizer. .1 is significant.
  13. At first I thought the default should be something above zero. Lately though, I am back to 0 as I am charging on my night stand. Once I know it works I really don't need to see it any more.
  14. I would go with intermittent fire button...had a similar issue.
  15. Right...platform independence will require additional changes, specifically a non-plug access method (bluetooth, wifi etc). As long as we have to have a cord, I am ok with a window product as I already need a desktop or laptop.
  16. I have not seen a solution to this issue, but am looking to see if it is user resolvable. Right now it looks like an RMA issue.
  17. In what way? Unrelated, but slightly, I am more interested in a platform independent solution that can be run on OSX, Windows, IOS, Android etc than another silo solution.
  18. Personally at this point I need escrib rarely, so I don't object to using VirtualBox.
  19. The automatic updates will only work for firmware versions so released. Thus far most of the updates posted on this forum are still considered in testing and are not part of the update process. At this point it will require a new install of escribe as well due to interface changes.
  20. Check the current from Ground and pin1, then pin2, then pin3. One is cell one voltage, two is cell one plus cell two, three is all three.
  21. Did you independently test cell two with a volt meter? Knowing what it measured would tell you if it was a connection/solder issue. Given that it did register "something" it is likely to be a bad cell. If you remove your external switch, verify that there isn't a solder bridge on the board from your work and it still autofires, then I would open a ticket with Evolv to swap out the board.
  22. Hey...go check on our enclosures! Sage advice...agree on delivery date and how to resolve missed deadlines and accuracy creep issues in writing.
  23. I get in this frequently with my wife...she keeps two aromamizers in rotation. If she is charging and vaping, then takes her atomizer off of my loaner mod when hers is charged, she now has the classic "hot atty" paradox. The only solution is to never put a hot atomizer on a TC mod. Go dig out the other atomizer or let it cool off for a few minutes.
