  1. Do you want to use TC or do you not want to use TC. No files are required for straight power mode.
  2. I did some printed enclosures and found that 3mm was about as low as I could go and still guide the button.
  3. Mike and I just put these together last night, so I am still new to them. From an aesthetics standpoint, I like the round. The square ones are beveled, so there is no catching.
  4. Two 1.3ah mods based on the reference mod and a reference mod.
  5. It allows you to have access to the three types without profiles or a computer. It is not related to profiles and you can still only have 8.
  6. Bravo...hope you stick around as we need some experienced folks here. Unrelated...Evolv made good all of the dead 40's I had!
  7. I would search the forum, but another person had the idea to do this and I "think" a staff member from evolv said the typical high end from a standard vehicle 12 volt would work. Double check.
  8. Not likely a fuse, but a RMA issue non-the-less. There have been a few folks who posted issues with "won't wake with fire button" and thus far they have been only addressed an RMA.
  9. How would you phase it? Something like: Limited output for Two Cell operation based on coil ohms?
  10. If you ask the supplier or your local vape shop to put the latest beta firmware on it for you, it will be not only safe, but very serviceable as it comes with all common metals pre-programed now. Be certain to specify the current test firmware, not the current release firmware. Available here: /topic/66731-topic/?do=findComment&comment=900118
  11. Agree and if you want to talk theory as to how far the board could go, start a new tread as this is for discussion of the early firmware as posted in post one. Folks are here to help or be helped and there are other forums to play in if you want to compare size.
  12. Like the 40, it may get a silent update. My first build has been in the hands of my wife now for four or five months and she treats it like a red headed step child (US reference to an unloved object). It has been dropped over and over, soaked in juice countless times, left in hot cars, splashed, knocked off the table while charging countless times and on and on. Still works great. Go figure.
  13. I have had five of five boards go bad back in the DNA40 days...prior to putting them in a mod...just bench testing. That said there is some atomizer interaction that seems to trigger fuse issues. I have not seen enough of it to put a finger on.
  14. Setup a profile in Escribe for non-tc wire (kanthal) and vape away.
  15. What other TC devices are you using that hits it with 75w as a preheat...or do you have more entered?
  16. Can you describe the wire in the Clapton? Typically you use the TCR value for the wire or calculate a TCR from SteamEngine for mixed wire types.
  17. Agree and it looks like it. I think I am going to have to get one to try...looks very promising.
  18. There is a thread here where they did just that...and a setting in escribe if I recall.
  19. I don't think it has reverse protection. I would test the fuse with a meter and also verify the firmware did finish flashing.
  20. I do not think so...at least I have not seen it. I don't object to scrolling past them though.
  21. The current beta firmware will allow temp display (see thread in this subsection).
  22. With the new firmware, did you change it to two cell operation?
  23. Well..I added mine to the ones you PIFd to me anyway. I have 12 of them that are servicable, but really am shying away from giving them out due to the fact that thus far nobody wants to learn to build them and every one I have given out is a "friend for life" or for as long as I have wire.
