also notice using 26 awg on a kayfun, is just about borderline for the standard screws to hold in place, and you i'm sure you know have to look under the coil leads to make sure you have plenty of clearance from the ground side across to centre power out, I fasten the screws, leave the mandrel in the coil and then use a small awll or small screwdriver to prise that ground lead up well clear, I never had to do it on a dna 40, and im never that particular about my wrap spacing, moor careful that nothing is going to move about once the mod has took a reading..

it don't sound like much cuz it works, fires and recognises temp, I understand what your saying entirely, when ever ive had that happen to me its either been a shitt connection or dry burning cuz the tanks empty.. sorry if some of the things I say may sound obviouse, but sometimes we can all overlook the simplest thing, and then some one els will just let it slip. could it be taking a reading from someware other than the coil, like shorting out, poor connections, I know the lemo has got center pin issues, after a few builds it looses contact with the base of build deck and also gets juice inclusions around there, am not familure with the hurricane but googled a picture and can see it has a screw in center pin, if that goes all the way up to the build deck I would stick with that until you suss out whats going on. I don't believe the issue at the moment is how many watts it is using to maintain a temperature, because if you wanted to take a steady drag at say 450 and it only took 5 watts to hold it there it wouldn't realy matter because you would still be getting your 450 hit. (I reiterate what you said, your mod thinks its up to temp but the coil is week,) again, the way my head works is :-- something is less resistant than the coil and this is where the reading is tacking place rather than at the coil. (loose connection) have you looked inside them and checked that the wires ground and out are well solderd from board to 510 & 510 center pin is free traveling springy, (if sprung not screw type) have the mods not performed since you had them? have you built them? have you updated them on escribe and set and checked all perameters (only realy your battery settings, and general tab nickel 200 when using ni leave everything els at default, & don't lock ohms)

The little screen ribbon who could.
black lace replied to MikeTheVapeDude's topic in General Discussion
Think of a piece of kanthal. You can fold it over itself 100 times and it wont break. But if you bend the same place back and forth 10 times, it snaps. The same thing happens to a ribbon connector, theyre not meant to flex beyond the initial setup and placement.[/QUOTE] its what runs down the inside of the ribbon that cracks first, the metal leads are less malubul, gold, platinum, copper, brass, nickle or whatever, try and bend it to- to tight a radius and it will collaps. -

wonder if he works for asda and the ip address can be followed to the store, a person conversant in Chinese interested in vaping with time on his hands.......

your absolutely right but also the only look that a lot of people get is through buying ready made ready wicked coils, if theyr anything like the rubbish samples I've had, they'r knackered before they even start, so TC wouldn't get a faire chance. says me sitting here dripping into a twin parallel wooden mech mod with twin kenthal tigers (early lunch punch, nicotine fix, not adv)

OLED Screen Source
black lace replied to RazorSkinnes's topic in Connectors, Components, and Accessories
Sorry to be a pain Nick;::; we have only started hearing about these red tab screens the last few weeks, does that mean screens are now coming though again, and a stock will slowly build up to a point where these screens can be sold seperatly again? theres definatly a market for them amongst mod builders, Reading through posts on the forum it sounds like theyr in moor demand than the fuse.. -
Saw a guy on utube, doctor-- somthing or other hes got a box mod hooked up to jump leads and a lorry battery, 24 or 30 volt, hes having a hard time of it, keeps setting on fire.. i recon you would have to change vg to a solid and put it in by the slice.. ""Would you like anouther slice of custerd claud""... ""no thanks mable i'll stick to me bsngers n mash""..

As a matter of interest what devices are the boards fitted in..??
-
Yes thanx, i was looking at somthing on flebay the other night,it had got ports on it to fit leads for allsorts of aplications, the nitecore charger ive got still a good domestic charger realy, from mech & mod batteries torches, tablet speakers ect, have also got a b3 that has done virtualy no milage, only to tonic up lipo batteries before ive fitted them to my 200 builds, it came with a vicious ant 200 clone, that was moor of a clown, it was a toss up wether to do a utube short smashing it with a hammer or sell it on, sold the empty box in the end because the board was to dangerous to have on ones conciounce..unless you know someone who likes a tazer like hit. Lol..

Yes like a default .50 amp standard, but am absolutly certain some new computers have an app controled fast charge usb port, so you can select whatever.. not about to buy one just for that though, lol .. looking at chargers including the turnigy b6 that VB put up, there are some realy versatile tools definatly worth the extra bit..

We can all rant, specially sitting here waiting for a train while on mobile . Quoting vapin bad, first rule of vape club, each to there own...Differnt types of vape shops about our mate. Some are what i call first stage, and credit where credits due, they are the starting block for people giving up smoking and sell a lot of the ecig pen kit package things with heavy pg juice. They realy are life savers, and why not have a big sign up saying" i can save your health and a grand a year", but may not whant to get too advanced with coil building and temp control for fear of putting early clients off. i know of anouther shop its moor like a bar, there is allways a croud hanging round being slowly drip fed, you can hardly see where your going through the vape haze, ive seen people come in for a replacement clearomiser, cartoniser, they dont have them, never stoked them. the whole vape thing is rapidly changing and so diverse, where ever anyone is in it you have to respect them for turning their backs on the killer pass time of smoking. i am not a political person but can say that if one single person is put off vaping through legislation and carries on smoking, the legislators have failed their fellow human being.

It would be good to know a promise or appraisal, like """ we will review what folk are asking for and see what can be done every six months""" type thing, That isnt really giving away idears or plans that could be pinched, is it.. Also an update on the replacement screen supply would be good, i've a few basket cases sitting in my..... well basket.. i'd like to see the back of...

OK thanks, I have used a similar .750 version, they have a bright blue light full charge, but for the above little mod it will need the evolve .50 board because its tiny compared to those, i'm not that conversant with electronics, don't mind fitting it, to anything, anywhere on the planet for that matter, but don't ask me how it works.
-
arh OK I see what your on about, I hooked something up on a similar line for a DNA 40 with a broken charger .50amp on board charger, broke down, but probably got beer in it,, a temp fix while I order a new board to fit but this sled puts out 1amp. I don't think there would be room for the new evolve 1 amp charger, I think the 1590 a boxes are a cracking little home build but a pain in the neck as far as maintenance goes, I've already had to convert failed push type fireing buttons on four of these to the newer mi tech tactile, but as it goes, one gets one they all want one..lol..
-
latest one is *** 2015-10-21 EScribe 1.0.35.2 *** at the top of early firmware. which also includes ..2015-09-30.sw-update, to be a smarty pants,,, the most upto date or latest on the firmweare section is at the top of page rather than bottom..

A few things. Can you see the four leggs of the firing button, get a multitester to them and confirm that you can fire on and off by that button, if yes, is it pushrod operated, when board is mounted in the mod does it run freely, i have gear from stealth, the brass mounting rails need the sides fileing as well as the backs off the buttons to get it to run free.
