  1. Essayez d'effectuer de récupération USB en charge sur le moniteur de périphériques. Cliquez sur Diagnostics, Avancé, effectuer de récupération USB en charge.

  2. VaporShark is very reasonable on their repair charges even if the board needs changing ..... I've seen where your issue may be liquid on the board or switch, the fire switch itself, the onboard switch, or even a loose connection... you may be out of warranty by VS but the board is warrantied for one year....

    or

if you are comfortable working on the VS you could diagnose and repair yourself without messing something else up ....

Do you know off hand if the hole size and threads are the same as the fdv? Wondering if I can install the fdv and still have the option to upgrade without replacing the whole enclosure.

I don't have the specs on the Evolv 510 but you can probably contact the link I gave you.... he should know as he builds them into his devices....

  4. The fdv 510's are pretty good and I've used them over the years but the Evolv 510 IMO is the best I've ever used...

Here is a link to an Evolv 510 so you can review it...has optional mounting hardware if you don't want to thread your enclosure...

Usually i put at 600F, as temp is not that important for this matter. (at least i think that way, but always learning)

I'm just pondering the graph results as opposed to the preheat being shown in the graph.....  no doubt the preheat has to raise the coil temp during preheat.  Gonna play with temp set above and below 482F and see how it effects the graph results.  But that's for tomorrow as it's late here.....
  6. dwcraig1... thx for the graph....  surely the preheat is effecting the coil temp even tho the graph is not showing a temp rise during preheat.... and ohm's reading in the graph is showing cold ohms?  Wonder if having the temp set to 450F is effecting the vape as it is within the "flat part" of the "curve" and the 0.1 rise starts at 482F in the "curve"....

Gonna have to play with it a bit.....  THX again dwcraig1....

Don't expect an answer from evolve, only crickets here. Not sure why this forum is linked to the evolve website. It seems like they've given up on the DNA 200. I really wanted to stick with the DNA platform but after been left out in the cold for the whole of 2016 its gonna be a difficult decision to buy another DNA device

Are you having an issue with your DNA200?   Try contacting Evolv using the "Contact " page :

  8. I thought the original question was :  Is there any point in having DUAL batteries in a DNA75?

That question was answered I thought..

A DNA200 (133) requires series batteries and a DNA 75 can be configured with parallel batteries.... different technology and specifications...

Evolv Data sheets in case you are interested:

  9. Great comments....

Since you ran Production Utility when setting up this mod I guess you could configure it again.  Should there have been a user induced issue (not saying there is/was) but just covers one piece of the pie... then you can see if it balances any differently...

Best thoughts I have... troubleshooting blindly is iffy at best... ya know what I mean???

Good luck..  let us know what ya find out...  :thumb:

  10. I guess you built the mod for the customer???? Did you use the Production Utility?

If you did how did you set up the mod using the Production Utility. What was the Maximum Cell Imbalance  maximum voltage variance set at for the test. What did the test show?

If you have the production file used to configure the device you can run a test in the utility...

At any rate there can be many reasons for what you are seeing.  Cold solder joints at the balancing connectors/wires, poor grounds, less than good quality batteries, cell soft cutoff to low,  and etc.  If the board is charging properly then I doubt that it's the issue especially if it charges to 4.20 volts which it is doing @ 4.21 volts in your info to us...sometimes it takes several charges on a new battery to settle down...

If the build is solid and battery is rock solid good ( when charged with an external balancing charger) I guess a RMA would let Evolv look at the board....

I'm looking for an explanation as to why the newest "test' version is over 4 months old, surely the actual testing period is long over. I don't have a DNA 75 (yet), but this https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66894-topic/?do=findComment&comment=901856 is the performance discrepancy I am referring to, VapingBad said the improvements would come to the 200, but 3 weeks later and still no progress on that front. ......

When I see things like a 4 month old beta, a 9 month old "recommended" release version, lots of veteran users who say it's good enough, and nary a peep from the devs, I worry that I've invested in dead technology, and there's just no room in my world for dead technology. It would really calm my fears if an Evolv dev would cuss me out right now.

Morning CeeBeeDee...... I think the answers you seek must come from Evolv.  I only asked for info to see if possibly there could be a few user "tweaks" that may be made to improve your vape experience with SS wire using the DNA200. Without the info I really can't offer any thoughts on "tweaks" to try. I really was interested in giving it a shot tho...

What I have seen over the years is that Evolv was/is the technology leader and give us the "latest and greatest" stuff. I also know that when they bring something new they are already working on a few more new things.  Their R&D is very fluid.

I did look back for a statement from Evolv about your concern and found this (in part).....

    *** 2016-02-12 EScribe 1.0.39 ***
    https://www.dimensionengineering.com/software/SetupES_2016-02-12.exe (52MB standalone installer)

    This version features:
    (1) a new Materials tab where you can store and transfer material settings onto and from the DNA,
[We've included our Ni200, and Steam Engine's SS316 and Ti1. These will be upgraded in the future, if better data becomes available, and others added if others become common.]

My best thought in addressing any future update releases would be that you could fill out a "Contact Us" form and ask that your questions be given to James and let him respond back to you.  He may not see your post here.

    Link:     http://helpdesk.evolvapor.com/index.php?a=add

I'm kinda like you and always want the "latest and greatest" so maybe a new DNA75 is in your future. Then you can compare the experience with SS wire.  Vaping is ever evolving so it's good that new often brings improvements that "may or may not" be able to be retro fitted to legacy technology.  Just my thoughts.

I know my comments don't meet your concerns but....... at the very least SS wire is probably the most "touchy" wire that folks try to use.  The fact that the DNA75 seems to smooth it out a bit shows me that Evolv is going in the right direction in responding to the ever changing wire landscape.

    Have a great day

  12. Mind if I ask a few questions....

    1. What TCR are you using with the DNA200 and which one for the DNA75?
    2. What type coil build and cold resistance?
    3. What Temp, wattage, preheat, punch and etc settings for the DNA200 and DNA75?
    4. Are the Manufacturers Settings correct for both mods?

The DNA200 and 75 utilize different regulator technology and have many specification things that are not the same with each board even tho the operation of each is almost the same.  May have a few comments after getting a bit of info from you....

Getting late so will check back tomorrow....  have a great evening...
