Why does my mod say kanthal limit 100 when I am not even on kanthal but in temp mode with ni200?  Does the kanthal limit setting also apply for ni200 or any wire infact?  If so that settings name is very misleading.

It definitely should not say it or limit you with a nickel coil. That would be a bug. Can you post a device monitor plot of a hit where you are temperature controlling and it limits to 100 watts? Plot the output power and the temperature. Thanks John

Likely a build issue, or a connection between the mod and atomizer issue.  If the device can't accurately get a reading on the fluctuation in resistance, it will assume it's kanthal and the wattage limit will kick in.

Probably, so add live ohms to the device monitor graph to save and post when it is doing it. With that we can know exactly what is going on. Also, what firmware version?

alee132, it will not show Kanthal Power Limit if it has detected as temperature-controlled.
Are you running a very high-thermal-mass atomizer at a low wattage by any chance?

Yeah looks like you got it fingered out, but I figured I'd add that I don't have problems in the 120-150 range, and I've run it at 200 for craps and giggles, so it's something on the custom setting side most likely. I didn't want someone to run across this and start posting all over the place that the chip wont run Kanthal over 100 watts.
