Brofessor
Hi, new to the forum and the vaping world in general. Thought i should quit smoking sooner than later. Any ways, as you can see from the title, my vt200 wont power on unless its plugged in. Also throws the "ohms to high" error when it is. So just to confirm, this is more than likely the fuse, since it would only be running usb power causing the ohms to be too high. Thanks in advance. dwcraig1
It certainly fits with what others have posted.
Brofessor
Okay, that's what I was thinking. I just now how electronics can be. Now, the other part I don't know, getting it fixed/fixing it. I can't find my torx set so i haven't gotten into yet. Thanks Again.
Brofessor
Also, have no idea what blew the fuse in the first place. ive been using a herakles plus with the 0.4 ohm kanthol coils. Did use the Ni one for a day, but it worked after putting the kanthol back in.

Brofessor
11.52 on the pack and 3.84 across each cell. I come from the RC world so im fairly familiar with lipo packs. Kinda what drew me to the vt in the first place
VapingBad
It does sound like a fuse, the main power is fused, but the battery monitoring is not, don't leave it plugged in too long as the balancing circuitry will got hot, I am not sure that damage will result just a precaution. Brofessor
Thanks guys! Now for the other part. I can solder, but don't trust my self to solder a board. I bought it online and the vendors RMA process is a bit ridiculous. How do you suggest i go about getting it fixed?
blueridgedog
You could try the Evolv RMA process.
Brofessor
Yeah its either going to be that, or I have a buddy who mods. I bought a second hand r80 and its honestly getting the job done in the mean time. So its not a big worry, except for the $100 paper weight I have in the meantime. Thanks again guys. You can go ahead and close this if that's a thing on this forum.
