This thread probably was inspired by Wismec releasing new firmware (v3.10) a few hours ago for updating the RX200 to a RX250.

Gatherd that, lol, do you remember when cloupor did somthing simular and they all burnt out. Lol i didnt pay much attention to a thread inputted by boss john a few months ago, but there are a few paragraphs someware, suggesting you can get 300 watt out of it quite easily, if you want to murder it.

What I wrote in the other thread:

Personally I cannot understand any manufacture providing firmware updates that increase output power as that is really limited by the hardware's capabilities. Is it that they are removing/reducing a safety margin that made sense when they launched it?  Is is something that they planned with a safety margin for marketing purposes, but I would think they would have rather had the extra sales, if any, all the time.  Is it they better understand the device now?  Is it that they knew if they did it a launch the batteries would not supply that power for long and wanted to avoid the complaints in reviews?

It is called job security. Now that most of the RX200 are out of warranty, boost their wattage up and let them fry. Then sell them another mod.

Answering my own question beffor ive aked it,, the "because we can"", what practical use over the existing 200 is the extra 30,

I deleted it, as it was going down hill fast, this forum is for DNA 200 owners, those interested in the device and for Evolv to share info and help each other with these devices, that thread was not.  Broader related topics, socialising and humour are also fine, just play nice.
