how do you comb the wick?

... and thank you for your comment.

I have only been making eliquids for 18months but when you  study, you hopefully listen, learn and apply.. djlsb has been as much of a teacher as mike vapes and Tony b. Brian herb and fresh03 along with wayne and Leilani, mlnikon and others are all resources shared wonderfully in this no judgment zone that still has things like ohms law and viscosity principle that apply to us all.  Basics like honey has a much higher viscosity than water help picture how  a wick can absorb something of viscosity x and we know the wire heats our liquid at a rate of y, sp one must keep up with the other for things to go well. thicker vg juices (I am 100% max vg for all but pods) take too long to get to the wire thus burning your cotton. it ain't rocket science. Now

Where did I include any opinions? when I wrote "I believe Beard has... ... I didn't find a big difference..."

please reread original question and your response, then my response which was only offered as fully as it was for clarification on the many variables that vaping styles offer.

If you choose to yes you go with whatever you like in flavor ratios to achieve your desired profile but vg much thicker than pg. its a major factor in wicking, not just in flavor dispersal speed throughout the base.  go listen to some Orion reviews and comments made by evolv on what to use. its a no brainer. 70/30 is not what most pods have been DESIGNED to accommodate. The owners manual also discusses things like freebase and nic salts for each different pod ohm level.

VG can be as flavorful as pg, but it requires more of a steep. VG offers clouds but I don't go max vg for clouds, I do it to limit pig's irritating properties.  Would you like me to send you a few links that might help broaden your knowledge base some. Perhaps you have been a member longer an d earned more seniority, you definitely have more time to post that 'oi do too answers others questions. When did you last rewatch a 101 video. I go back to basics regularly and always pick something up that I once knew but info didmd sink in.  take time to get many  perspectives before declaring your graduation from VapeUniveristy as final. I know I'm still a sophomore who must be cautious with mech mods.  Can you offer any advice for me to help know when the battery might have dropped too low, what di I need to know about voltage sags and that stuff to see longer battery life? Or do you have any tips for mixing meth in naked ejuice? what tank cooks meth best? Should I use an rda or a  crown II? If its an rdas, more or less cotton than normal. will a squint bottle survive the added chems or leech. Would dripping be better? How much meth to how many ml of liquid is equivalent to how many rails? What temperature should I vape that mix at or does wattage work better here? I need to know... and Formula if you read this far, smile, it was intended to rally your breathe to vent on a taboo subject no one has the balls to talk about. If you prefer to banter on homemade vg lube recipes I have thoughts there too,

any need for the sarcasm , i will just let you get on with it - obviously from the liberal headquarters of opinions where everyone else is wrong , dont bother replying less the better

  2. if evolv listen about how to improve the theme builder i would find it very useful if there was a mock setup so you could actually test a themes functionality without uploading it to the device every time you change something in a theme to make sure it functions , especially if you are trying something out or experimenting with a theme and its functions - just an idea

    Thanks

Is it just me, or does this really not sound very professional?

Also, how do people carry their mods if not in a pocket or bag? Why would that be so bad if nothing else is in the pocket?

sounds a little like a company avoiding liability for anything.

pocket is enclosed space and you cant be sure if its going to fire or not inside a pocket , even though you can be the most careful person in the world there is always chance and a random event can occur however unlikely , the evolve boards do not fully turn off but go to sleep and then so many clicks to return to the main screen however unlikely 5 clicks can happen in your pocket you just never know

Just had a look on the Lost Vape website. This is what it said, above a ‘read more’ button which just took me back to the same page:

    FAQ & WARRANTY

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor.

better contacting them through facebook in a private message , they do reply maybe a few days but they will either point you in the right direction or offer advice but dont mention you have undone the mod to see what's happening or you carried the mod in your pocket you won't have a leg to stand on.

if you dont know lostvape changed their name on their fb page and everyone had trouble finding them again also their website but here the link to there fb group

    https://www.facebook.com/LVEvapor/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

  5. Never buy a yihi or smok mod then as those 2 manufacturers wriggle out of responsibility  in fact smok dont bother replying to anything ,  if you bought it locally then that's your best bet and see what he says , then try lostvape - like i said i think it would be a case of discretion but i would assume they would offer you a replacement product or offer to fix the one you have , if you post it to the allocated authorised repair center wherever that may be , i think lostvape have one in the UK

  6. i think this would be down to the manufacturer's discretion as the mod was previously working fine , there's so many user errors that can occur with problems with mods , not saying at all this is what's happened with you or your problem - lost vape offer a 6 months warranty im not sure where evolv stand on their warranty but since you bought the full mod form lost vape i would say that's where your warranty lies but the dwcraig and retird would know better about evolv's warranty procedure .

its a tough one to be honest to get a full refund from evolv they just supply the board and lost vape issue the warranty and its been longer than 6 months

  7. possibly like dwcraig1 said maybe the wiring to the the battery connecter has worked lose and the heat from the previous episode its become unsoldered , i had a minikin V2 with the same thing the positive wire had worked lose and touching the metal casing inside and immediately when you put the batteries in it became hot

  8. just a wild guess you've had your mod since since june last year with no problems until recently , i would suggest juice has gotten inside the mod over a period of time and has either caused the fire button to stick without noticing or the juice has acted as a conductor  causing it to fire  randomly without being aware.

Not going to happen, and here is why:

Evolv designed each profile to have readings independent of one another, this way each profile could theoretically represent a different atomizer. With all the variables that one can change in a profile, it's actually quite nice to be able to pre-set a profile so one can quickly put on a new atomizer and with a couple clicks be ready to have an entirely different vaping experience.

You are aware that you could just lock in the cold resistance into all of your profiles and that can literally be done without even having to use a computer!

It would undermine the entire reason the profiles are there in the first place.

option would be great wouldnt it either to enable or disable that function , if you swap from one profile to another Temp to Replay mode and Watts - it wouldnt be to hard to enable or disable the feature - not many people have a few atomizers in their pockets at anyone time and with using SS coils they get warm and dont give a cold reading

Yes I removed the board and put it in an SXK Boxer squonk.  I then checked out the problem with the VTX's 510, the o-ring they used was too small.

Crazy , do these people test these device , its like the Drone Squonker why make a door so flimsy when that's the main area its going to get most usage but i like the mod very much but with the ultem you certainly have to watch out about that door area on squeeze to hard and if the door isnt aligned or slightly out something then its going to break

  11. not really a question for me but for people who seem to have trouble installing themes with errors on their device running out of memory  ? i've seen the solution before but i cant for the life of me remember what it was , i know its something to do with service packs either reverting or going up can someone refresh me or point me in the right direction.

    Thank You

  12. another update , i think this is a big pointer , so i've recently got a new RDA that i've been having trouble with in replay mode as i've mentioned above well i'm going to add to it

it seems if you pack the coil with to much cotton not enough for a dry hit but to much so the juice is not wicking properly and effectively replay will start to play up

  13. Spot on Retird , i've been vaping for over 3 years now but using a DNA device for the past 14 months and i'm still learning - almost everything is a variable with vaping  right down to juices you never stop learning , especially coils, wicks  ,juice and atomizers what may be right for one is not for another. there is no set answer regarding those things i mentioned you just got to learn yourself what's best for you

  14. im sure youve got more hours and knowledge under your belt than i have , but was wondering what you could actually change after hearing different things from what are suppose to be well known sources whom i think should have the experience to be correct if they are going to review something - and as for the only thing in replay mode i see is replay warmth and and punch that seems to be changeable but on a scale of  1 to 11 and i was wondering those scales was changed by changing the scale through pre heat wattage and preheat temperature similar to what a power curve would achieve but like you have said temperature sensing coils will not work that way in replay mode which i assume if you're in replay you are using such coils

  15. i dont need to be proved anything , i will just take your word for it, that's why i asked a simple question for the answer i was looking for which occurred through being misinformed of what you can or cant do or which is not possible magically

  16. 32 minutes ago, Wayneo said:

You can only pre heat in a TC profile

You can only boost punch when your material is not identified as a TC material in a profile (there's a whole lot said there in a few words)

its just that im seeing miss information when different reviewers on youtube say or tell you something that is not even possible - jai haze said you can alter change the boost in replay by going to profile boost watts then back to replay that seems to do nothing whatsoever , so the only thing changeable in replay mode is punch , boost on and warmth from the scale 1 to 11 there is no other way to actually select a different wattage for the boost or warmth

  17. i've done a theme and added preheat power and pre heat temp they are both set in the theme to be changed and not read only , yet the pre heat power option will only allow me to read and the preheat temp is fine , is there something im not doing ? in another setting that will allows the preheat power to become changeable
