  1. Hi. Here is my setup: Coil: ThunderHead Creations, SS316, 28AWG, 2.5mm, 6 wraps: 0.81Ω Power: 18W Temperature: 210°C Preheat: 25W Temperature: 210° Settings for SS316: CSV file from Steam Engine with TCR 0.000915 The results from the vaping experience are attached to this post. Not much vapor produced, it's like the atom can't have the necessary power to vaporize the eLiquid, but if I go in power mode and I set 18W, the experience is smooth, very smooth. Question: what's the problem? Can't figure out what is going on.
  2. I was asking because I was already aware of that page. But considering that 1.1 SP27 exist from October 2017 and no further releases have been produced, including clarifications on eventual problems this version might have, everything seems to be "abandonware". You know, if a particular version is not released for the general public, I would expect at least newer builds that fix the eventual problems the previous versions have. Considering 1.1 SP27 is 4 months old without any further versions / release notes, I was wondering which is the Evolv opinion on this version.
  3. You're receiving an "experimental" version from the automatic update because you're using an experimental base version of eScribe. As I said. anything beyond SP2.5 for eScribe is not offered from the official DNA75C page, which is "stuck" at SP2.5
  4. Hi, is the 1.1 SP27 firmware stable or not? Many people are using it, so how we should consider it? And if it's stable, why the DNA75c page propose only eScribe 2.0 SP5.2? Thanks.
  5. This depends by the version of eScribe you're using. From the official location, the downloadable eScribe version is 2.0 SP5.2. This version brings the firmware version 1.1 SP25 There are newer builds of eScribe downloadable from the forum, but, considering they're not downloadable from the official location (the DNA75 board page), they should be considered "experimental". I don't know if Evolv consider versions beyond SP25 experimental versions, in any case this should be handled a little bit better because it generates confusion in users. For me, the last "official" version intended for general use remains 1.1 SP25, bigger versions are still experimental and, as such, potentially broken and / or harmful.
  6. Isn't this behaviour normal when using temperature control with a high changing resistance material and an unlocked coil? Some materials double their resistance value at certain temperatures. With an unlocked coil, isn't this normal? Let's say you have vaped a lot, the coil is very hot and it's resistance value is 0.85 ohm. Now you stop vaping, the coil cools down a lot and its resistance value goes down to 0.40 ohm. Next time you vape, the box detect an high mismatch between the current resistance and the last read one, so it will ask if you have changed the coil. What's the problem?
  7. It depends by the version of eScribe you have. The current "official" one is the 2.0 SP 5.2 which contains only firmware update 1.1 SP25 Any version beyond this is still considered experimental. In fact, from the DNA75c download page, the downloadable escribe international version is the 2.0 SP25. Can you tell which version of eScribe are you using?
  8. I don't know, I see I can select almost 300°C (600°F). Isn't this too much for, let's say, a 30AWG Kanthal wire? My concern is mainly based on the toxic emissions that the wire can produce at too much high temperatures
  9. Thanks for the answer, but ... It seems dangerous to me. How one is supposed to know which is the correct temperature for the coil in use with his wire specs (Kanthal, SS316), diameter, resistance, etc.? Also, how I know the wattage I set is sufficient to achieve the temperature set? Seems a little bit vague to me.
  10. 3) Suggested wattage in wattage mode upon coil reading.
  11. Thanks for the answer. Do you know if there is some documentation / explanations about this feature? I see on my box it's quite unintuitive to use. I can set: - preheat (on or off). - if on, I can regulate wattage. - if on, I can regulate temperature. - if on, I can regulate the punch. Now, I don't understand how these 3 values can be regulated independently from each other. I would imagine that the wattage would give me a "default" temperature, by contrast, I would expect that regulating the temperature would force a wattage value, but it doesn't seem to work like this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  12. When I put a new 26650 Basen Black 4500mAh (fully charged) I see the level of the battery is 96% and not 100% as expected. What should I do to fix this? Thanks.
  13. Hi. What's the purpose of having a preheat on a non TC material? Is it for watt mode?
  14. Hi, I open this thread to make some requests about new features I would like to see in next firmware revisions. Please use it to make your requests too. Let's start: 1) Clock: not only the US format but also the UE format (dd/mm/YYYY). Would be awesome. 2) Max puff count: a warning will be emitted when the number of puffs in the vaping session exceeds this max value.
  15. I'm using this box using 26650, Basen Black 4500mAh, and it works great. The cap closes completely and it can be tightened to its fullest. Great battery life, I vape at no more that 18W, ranging from 10 to 18W and in some cases I obtain 2 full days of usage. No overheating problems thus far, but I repeat, I vape at human wattages. I just do MTL vaping on this box. Great mod. With a Kayfun Prime, it looks terrific. Update it to version 1.1 SP25 firmware. This is one of the most sold DNA75C box mods, and for a reason.
  16. Just sayin', I'm using 2 Basen Black 4500mAh 26650 on this mod. They both close perfectly and the cap is well tightened. No problem whatsoever (till now, of course).
  17. Happens to me too. I have a Basen Black 4500mAh 26650. After a full charge using a Nitecore D2, the box shows "96%" with a fully charged battery. I have also imported the Basen profile that can be downloaded somewhere in this forum.
  18. I don't understand. Are you speaking about Basen Black 4500mAh? Those are one of the shortest batteries around: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/threads/26650-battery-bench-test-results-and-new-ratings-table.725452/
