  1. The vt200 battery doesn't actually give you much of a capacity increase over the stock one. When you run the battery analyzer on it its only about a 12-15% improvement.
  2. you can use your computer. you just cant vape. mine took about 4 hours i believe.
  3. i have the tank on order. one thing i wasnt able to find out is whether the SS coils have nickel legs like the crown does. hopefully not. it would be really nice to see some premade SS coils which play nice with TC.
  4. changing the mod resistance for different profiles wouldnt make sense at all. the mod resistance doesnt change.... its the same mod. the mod resistance only matters when you are using temp control because the mod will subtract the mod resistance from both the base resistance when installed as well as the under load resistance to get a true value for the change in resistance. this proper resistance change is then used to calculate the temperature more accurately. in power mode just turn up the wattage. who cares. on a final note the ohmmeter on the DNA200 is the most accurate i have seen on any mod so far. the only things which i have encountered which are more accurate are professional multi meters and oscilloscopes.
  5. it would be nice to have some input from evolv on this. even just a "we are working on it" or "nope!" would be better than what we have now.
  6. the auto update is just for release versions and not prereleased software which is in this thread. it would however be nice to have something in the options which allows you to update to prerelease software automatically.
  7. I ended up sending an email to wotofo suggesting a 2 post version of the sapor already. Also a mega version of it which is 24mm with even larger post holes. Hopefully they do it.
  8. volcano started selling them in a kit with the connectors you need installed already. check the website.
  9. right now for around the house i use the velocity. that condensation leaking out through airholes gets annoying. great build deck though. for when im out and about the sapor is 10/10. the flavor is similar to the velocity but with the top down airflow you can fill it with so much juice and have no issues at all. that thing refuses to leak at all. what i really want to see is a RDA thats a big brother hybrid of the velocity and sapor. something with a 24mm deck (after all, DNA200 mode have the space), the top down airflow from the sapor, with the deck from the velocity. one other change i would make is giving it a little more of a domed top to improve flavor. please someone produce this. i would drop $100+ on an authentic in a heartbeat. one thing which has interested me a bit is the archon with the 2 post base. there are just so few reviews on it that i cant make a decision on whether i want to buy it or now. if the condensation leaks through the airholes it would be a deal breaker. base RDA ($39.99) - http://www.cloudycollabs.com/cci-archon-rda/ 2 post deck ($19.99) - http://www.cloudycollabs.com/cci-archon-two-post-rda-deck/ there is also the glacier 2 RDA 2 post ($50) - http://www.cloudycollabs.com/glacier-ii-rda-by-vaperz-cloud/
  10. wow that is probably the most ugly mod i have ever seen. i just cant get over how much of a butterface it is.
  11. yes, whenever the mod detects a significant change in resistance of the coil it asks if its new. in addition, you want to attach coils when they are at room temperature. it seems like some more information would help you would lot. i would take some time and watch the following videos to lean about your new vape. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KQGxsYfG9U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bywx-twQMM8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csOQTYEht5I it will tell you all about the DNA200 chip and the escribe software.
  12. yea that could be an issue right there. if you install a new tank/coil and the mod asks if its a new tank/coil, go with the obvious option and select yes.
  13. if you have the most recent version its in the mod tab towards the bottom. in the electrical section there is a field for mod resistance. if you have the early release software its still in the mod tab but you need to click the button to show the rest of the settings.
  14. do you have another mod or a ohmmeter to test the coil out on? do you have any other coils to test? sometimes there are just bad coils. other times there are installation issues causing higher resistance. make sure the coil is screwed down tight in the tank and that the tank is screwed down tight into the mod. in escribe what is your mod resistance set to? if you have checked everything above as well as another coil or two and the mod is constantly high on resistance even with different tanks/drippers than there might be issues with the internal resistance of the mod. if its always reading the resistance as being high by the same amount then just change the mod resistance. for example if your mod resistance is currently set to 0.007 and its always reading 0.01 high just set the mod resistance to 0.017 instead. that being said, if everything is good with the tank and coils and the mod is reading everything as being 0.09ohm high i would contact the store for an exchange or HCigar for service. it is unlikely to be an issue with the chip and much more likely an issue with the installation in the mod or 510 connector.
  15. this isnt exactly the place to post about an issue like that. i would recommend creating a new topic in general discussion. it will get more attention there.
  16. I am a big fan of the flavor of twisted coils. However, I find that they are far too springy and low resistance for building or TC. It seems that the best results come from simple, larger, high resistance builds. Although the 0.04ohm quad twisted parallel build was pretty hilarious when people saw it.
  17. by more secure i didnt mean how the port is attached to the board. i mean how secure the cable is being held in the port. a little snap in would be nice.
  18. if you havent yet get the most up to date firmware and version of escribe from this thread /topic/65665-topic/?do=findComment&comment=887811 its more recent than the one you would normally download. it also has one amazing feature. you can change your wattage increments. personally i have it set to clicking is an increment of 0.5W instead of 0.1W. makes changing to wattage so much easier.
  19. You can try torching it after straightening the wire with a drill.
  20. Please give us the option to select the temperature as the main field on the screen on a per profile basis. If the option is selected then the current field for temperature (if its displayed at all) becomes the power. Crossing my fingers this is in the next escribe and firmware update. Don't do it for us. Do it for Mr. Pbusardo. He deserves after making those videos!
  21. ok i just noticed this. http://www.gearbest.com/temperature-control-mods/pp_268745.html gearbest doing preorders for this mod for under $50 US. at first i thought it was a DNA200 but after some more reading it doesnt use the DNA chip at all. it just physically looks exactly like the DNA200 version. i can only imagine how many people will purchase this mod thinking that it is the DNA200 version which has been universally praised across the vaping community and end up with something completely different. i have lost so much respect for wismec with this move.
  22. it would be nice if the USB port was more secure but no issues at all here.
  23. depending on how thin your printer can print you can also add a grip on it which would cover the same space as the original grip on the rest of the mod.
