I bought into the Kizoku Techmod and what was delivered was for the most part complete garbage, maybe just the luck of the draw, I don't know. It wouldn't even vape consistently in voltage mode so the somewhat intended circuit swap might just happen. Not sure it's worth a DNA 60 swap honestly but the titled charging/data circuit board could make the task a lot easier. Odds are with the hole at the angle it is this isn't going to pan out well but pulling it off could be an accomplishment? I am my own trouble maker! 😁 Maybe a tiny breakout board would work. With a portion of the mounting rails removed from the 60 it should stack on threaded rods off the stripped original circuit board leaving the switches to be tapped off the traces. I have the threaded rod and nuts around here somewhere. It'll take a small screen display and some (fingers crossed!) minor modification of the 510's center pin. Yeah, that's another thing, some atomizers don't make contact being the center pin sits so low. I didn't read into the thread but it may help you being it states resistance issues. I'm familiar with the look of these mods and it's a subjective thing.

No worries, with so many variables I try to take in all information. My best guess at this point would be a cold or incorrect solder joint. I'm not familiar with this particular mod and its construction as to be able to look at the solder work done. As well as making sure your coil connections are firmly fastened may avoid looking into the mod itself.

Your first post mentions Replay. Earlier I mentioned room temperature. Your atty and mod should be at room temperature when reading the ohms resistance for the first time the atomizer is connected to the mod.

Try using temperature sensing capable wire for your coils.

Clearo atty? Coil material? Mod resistance set? Ohms read from a room temp mod and atty? Clean battery contacts?

I should have came back and mentioned the computer I was trying to install on had some issues. Linux Mint Cinnamon on another computer practically installed itself, incorporated the system theme as well.

Wow, thank you! I have had multiple Linux distributions run Escribe previously and Escribe is loaded on the Linux Mint drive of the computer I'm on at the moment. I'm just liking MX and would like to have one distro with all my stuff on it. After Escribe my next hurdle is the fingerprint reader on my T430 which does work in Mint as well, it's just a James Bond cool thing IMHO. Before I go VM, I'm going to load an older version of Linux MX, a version prior to them dropping the LBSs, then load 19.1 MX through a terminal which I hope will retain the LBSs I didn't get with Buster version. It may just end up being that the Linux Mint goes on the 255Gb SSD drive but I'd rather the MX, just a preference thing. Cheers!

Glad to hear it's just me, I kind of assumed that much already without mention of MX Linux here in the forums. I appreciate your offer! I'm an old timer here and know this is a community effort deal, bought a HP Stream 7 when Escribe launched just to have Windows originally to run Escribe. I'm liking MX Linux as well and this is the reason for the effort at this install, I may nix my HHD for a SSD. You asked for it, Hehehehe I'm dual booted in a Lenovo Thinkpad T430, HHD of 500Gb has Linux Mint and the 255Gb SSD has the Linux MX. echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP XFCE PRETTY_NAME="Debian GNU/Linux 10 (buster)" NAME="Debian GNU/Linux" VERSION_ID="10" VERSION="10 (buster)" Likely at least part of the problem. lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. And the installation of LSB couldn't find which anchor point to install to so it looks like another install of Linux MX could be in order? Edit: I'm finding references to peripheral manufacturers for LSBs so I'm just going to lay low on this for a while and see where it goes. As of the Buster release the OS no long carriers the LSBs as to the best of my knowledge.

Nope, wasn't downloaded under a su account, I'm pretty sure I managed that through the terminal inadvertently. This is a pretty fresh install of Linux MX on a 255Gb SSD drive in a Lenovo T430 with Linux Mint on the 500Gb HHD with Escribe on it, the system is dual booted. Windows 7 Pro crapped out after not being accessed or updated forever so it got nixxed. Not really a Windows fan honestly. I'm kinda fond of Linux MX and may eventually change out the HHD for 500Gb SSD would be the reason for the efforts. I appreciate the efforts you've made.

Tried "./SetupEScribe2_SP19_INT.run" again and got bash: ./SetupEScribe2_SP19_INT .run : No such file or directory Logged out of su and clicked on the file and it just asks which application I'd like to open the file with. I gave GDebi Package Installer and it can't load the package. Gave a message about possible file corruption or I'm not allowed to open the file which I did leave executable so checking file permissions seems mute but I did it anyway and found the file is now root. Not sure how that happened. I'm thinking a fresh download from my desktop transferred by way of SD might clear something up, maybe.

Thanks! I've given the file executable permission but I'm just not doing well with the command verbiage and such. I've tried a few conbinations with your suggestion with no luck as of yet. Edit: I'm also logged in as Superuser at the moment.

As I've mentioned I'm no Linux guru, I'm trying to install on Linux MX and it's Debian based so maybe? it seems the terminal is where I keep bumping my head. IDK, I input "apt-get install SetupEScribe2_SP19_INT.run" and I get this Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package SetupEScribe2_SP19_INT.run E: Couldn't find any package by glob 'SetupEScribe2_SP19_INT.run' E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'SetupEScribe2_SP19_INT.run'

First page of this thread has download links for both Intentional and U.S. versions of the software. Click on either and it will download. If you have already clicked on the download links check your download files or search your files. Synaptic Package manager is usually in the system programs of linux. Tap your start button and you should have a search included to find it.

Copy and paste each dependency to the search of Synaptic Package Manager, check the box of each found dependency, tap the apply for each dependency one at a time. After that we're going to have to know your Linux Distro as command lines can differ a little.

Try Synaptic Package Manager for your dependencies. I've been giving Linux MX a whirl lately and for the life of me or my hardware/software it will not load. No issues at all with Linux MInt. I've tried going through a terminal, Gui Package installer... At this point most likely I'm botching the terminal command line as I'm no Debian guru.

Hello DL to RDL with the JM mini. Well, the thinner the wire the less wattage needed as a general rule. I've recently been use Coilology SS316L MTL claptons , 2/30 gauge wrapped with a 40 gauge. Most people end up in the 30 watt range with the JM mini and yes I use Replay almost exclusively anymore. Start low and work your way up from the 21 watt range with wire like I've mentioned. This was about stupid tight especially with the extra wire for better contacts later.

I've just pulled the mod apart again and may be able to avoid pulling the 510 apart. I'm guessing the 250C is a better fit than the 75C, the circuit board has plenty of wiggle room with the 75C.
