  1. Came out a Hcigar VT75. The board hasn't been heated the wires were just clipped. I will hook up a battery and see if it works but I am suspect of why it doesn't behave like all the other boards.
  2. I have a DNA75 board that has been removed from a working mod and sat on the shelf for a year or so. If I try to connect the board to Escribe, it just flashes on and off with the red led flashing as well. I have other boards including a DNA75 that connect fine to Escribe without a battery. I don't want to install the board to just find out there is an issue. Is there any reason this board should not connect to Escribe without a battery? Thanks.
  3. Version 1.7 is working great for me. Replay screen looks a lot cleaner. I don't use the stats screen, so that part hasn't been an issue to me. Thanks for all the hard work on this theme.
Easily my favorite theme. Very clean. stylish and easy to read. If you are looking for a theme that makes sense instead of being overly flashy for no good reason, this is the theme for you. Support from creator is exceptional.
  4. Interesting. I won't pretend to know why but Replay is obviously doing a lot of things I don't understand yet. Maybe some refinements by Evolv will improve compatibility or at the very least we will understand the ins and outs of Replay more in the future. I understand that Evolv might not want to put all their cards on the table for obvious reasons but hopefully more of the process will come to light. At first look you would think that if it works in standard TC, it would work in Replay but obviously not the case.
  5. When multiple wires are used together ie. clapton, stapled, etc., the inner core(s) are what should matter more than the outer materials. Not knowing what all is taking place and being evaluated during Replay mode, it's hard to come up with an answer. 0.06 ohm is very low, maybe a factor? Out of curiosity, do the same coils work in standard TC mode?
  6. I don't think you have to download it. I just go into theme designer from Escribe and click default theme.
  7. Thank you for putting in the hard work. It's easy for me to say I want this or that when I'm not the one having to figure it out, LOL. Wattage increment is such an easy thing to fix in theme designer, it really shouldn't be an issue for you to worry about. Replay is a great thing from the usage perspective but does seem to be a pain to get it formatted for a clean look in theme designer. As good as you have done with this theme so far, I have no doubt that you will get the Repaly screen looking as clean as the rest of the screens you have designed.
  8. Easily my favorite theme ever made. Great job niandra3 . Being a low wattage vaper I have to change the wattage increments to either 1 watt or .5 watt but it's not hard to do in theme designer. As good as the theme looks everywhere else, the Replay screen looks a little crowded to me. The Replay with a check box seems unnecessary. The default Evolv theme handles this a fairly tidy manner, IMHO. The wattage display could be larger and just have the save puff and playing text similar to the default theme instead of the Replay with check box and save cancel text below it. Again, thanks for your hard work on a great theme just wanted to toss out some ideas to you on the Replay screen.
  9. Not getting Replay to work on my Hcigar VT75D. I love this theme, the layout is perfect for me but I cannot get Replay to work with this profile. Works fine with the default profile. If I go into the Replay menu, I am unable to change the status and it never shows as available. Also, a minor note, Wattage mode is changing in 5 watt increments. Easy enough to change but I thought I would point it out to you.
  10. If Replay is working with the same coil on a different atty, something must be going on with the Skyline. Maybe tear the deck down and check everything out. Make sure all the insulators are in place and the center pin is tight and making a good connection. Other than that, I don't know of much else to recommend. My Skyline has worked fine with Replay. Good luck.
  11. No idea what is up then. Is the same coil working in a different atty with Replay?
  12. Sounds like the DNA is not seeing enough change in resistance to calculate what is needed for Replay. Does it work as expected in standard TC mode?
  13. My Skyline is working fine. Still using micro coils for now but performing great with Replay.
  14. Round wire micro coil? Should work with claptons, etc. as long as the wires are correct but for simple troubleshooting I would stick with a micro coil to start with.
  15. Make sure you are using stainless steel wire.
  16. One of the big differences I am noticing between Replay and TC is that I like to take a long drag and have the heat go up until the end of the drag. I never could recreate that same experience with TC. It was "locked in" to a certain temperature. I could only get that experience in regular wattage mode but the heat increase was not very consistent and would change by how wet the wicks were. In Repay mode, I get the same drag every time. I'm amazed at how well it works. The flavor itself is not necessarily better than in wattage mode but it's not worse (like in TC). It is very consistent and will not dry hit. Kudos to Evolv.
  17. For me, I put in a SS coil and get the vape I want using power adjustment. After I hit replay, I get the same exact vape every time. Much better than TC ever was to me. No muss, no fuss, it just works. I don't know what "magic" they are doing in the background and I don't care. I works awesome and I'm getting the best vape experience I've ever had. Trying to use regular TC or power only mode after this is never going to be "right". Stock up SS wire and it's a new era, IMHO. Job well done Evolv.
  18. Evolv has always been straight up from my perception. I've had a couple of boards go out over the years but Evov has always made it right. No messing around with long waits and not knowing when of if your product is going to be fixed. They have always admitted fault when appropriate and quickly remedied the problem. I don't use a Mac but I know some people that do. Mac support (as far as I know) was never a given and the time frame was never laid out for Mac support. As we know, it did arrive and from what I have heard from others, it works well. My opinion is that replay will get to the 75c as soon as practical. I don't believe they would have announced it as being available for the 75c as a firmware update if they were not going to follow through. The time frame was never revealed down to the day and it was definitely stated that the 75c firmware update would take place after the 250C was released and when the resources were available to to send the update out to the public. If at the end of April, we still don't have it, that would be time to ask why (for me, at least). I would like to have it yesterday but I am also realistic enough to know that as soon as Evolv has a firmware they are comfortable with, we will have it. According to Evolv they have a few groundbreaking things coming down the pipe this year. They are looking to build customers not to lose them by pissing off early adopters and longtime customers. Sit back and relax, I am confident we will see it in April.
  19. It syncs the battery gauge to be more accurate with the batteries. It doesn't change performance in any way, just makes the battery gauge more accurate.
  20. For anybody that needs it here is the .csv for 2 LG HG2 (chocolate) batteries for dual 18650 devices. 2LGchoc.csv
  21. Looking through the available setting under the battery and electrical tabs for a DNA75C in escribe, I see a way to change both the max peak and max sustained input current under the Battery tab and max peak and max sustained output current under the Electrical tab. I would assume that you can't dial in more than the board can handle, so what is the purpose of these settings?
  22. I don't mean to slam Evolv over this. They are great boards for the most part and are the only regulated mods that I use. With that said, I can only state my experience and situations that I know about first hand. A good friend had 4 DNA200 mods and over the course of a year, 3 of them died. In the end, yes they were repaired under warranty but 3 out of 4 for him and 2 out 4 for me, not a great trend. It could be something the manufacturers are doing, all of these were mass produced mods but the Evolv brand is prominent in the marketing and is what is selling these mods. As far as the problem, the best example I can give would be an Intel motherboard and chipset dying across multiple manufacturers computers. Intel can say the manufacturers are doing something wrong and then the manufacturers will say "We don't have problems with our computers with AMD boards." I'm taken care of in this instance by the vendor. The DNA200 went to a third party that I am assuming was taken care of by either Evolv or the manufacturer. So the problem is not with customer service. The best customer service, however, is never needing it.
  23. Lucky for me this happened on the 29th day I had the mod, so I am able to return it to the vendor. I already have an RMA, I just need to ship it out. The main reason I posted this was because I saw the other post about charging issues. 2 mods that mess up while charging is not Samsung type problems but I would rather have the board fail at any other time. Also, Evolv boards are not doing too well for me. I have 2 DNA200 devices, one of those failed and 2 DNA75 devices , one has now failed. That's a 50% failure rate from my experiences. I hope the DNA250 I have on the way doesn't carry on the tradition.
  24. Had an Hcigar VT75 die while charging the other day. Since there was another charging issue posted here, I thought I would add my story as well. I put my VT75 on charge the other day and let it be for a few hours while I was in the room doing other things. When I tried to use the mod after charging, I was getting a "Too Hot" error. The device was cool to the touch so I took the battery out and didn't feel any heat there either. Put the battery back in and was still getting the "Too Hot" error. Hooked up to Escribe and device monitor was showing the board temp at 212F. Impossible at this point, so I tried to hard reboot the device and it would not respond to any commands. I can read the board as long as there is a battery in the mod but I can not write to it. If I try to connect the board to Escribe without a battery it just goes off and on non-stop. The battery in the mod at the time was an Efest green 26650.
