  1. I have a 250c that stops charging the battery after just a few minutes. The mod and the battery pack are relatively new. I set the display to always on and plug the mod in. After a few minutes, the screens turns off, the mod stops charging, and the ‘Always On’ setting is reset to off. Ive tried multiple chargers and cables. Any ideas would be appreciated. Looking like I may need to RMA the board though...
  2. I thought my soldering skills were weak! I almost ordered one of these when they first came out. Looking at the images you've posted, I'm so glad I didn't. Sorry about your luck on this but, thanks for showing the rest of us the poor quality of these mods.... For what these mods retail for, they really should be ashamed....
  3. I can second this. Overall performance has declined significantly with the latest version.
  4. I can confirm. Same issue. Click the minus, Escribe crashes. Note: I did not have a mod connected while testing this.
  5. Nope. Not 'fixed'. Device Manager launches but Escribe & Theme Manager do not.
  6. So, I've built two 250C mods now and both boards, new outta the box show a reset count of one. Has anyone else had this experience or am I just the lucky one. It's not a big deal to me but, I'd like to have a reasonable explanation for the buyers of my assembled mods. Why a device I say is new shows a reset count greater than zero.
  7. Well this is good to know. I hope others, especially those building their mods can confirm the same with the boards.....

  9. I had a similar issue. My problem turned out to be a usb hub. The hub seems to work now though....
  10. Oh, they're out there. I've built two so far. I just liked that enclosure because it is smallish and unfinished. Plus, it looks like it used screws to secure the enclosure rather than magnets. Oh, and I like the buttons better too. Most of the 75C/250C enclosures other there use plain round buttons and I prefer either square or rectanglish buttons. If you're interested, check these out. I like the dripp3d enclosure better. It's slightly heavier but, very well made and a better design in my opinion. And no magnets!.... http://dripp3d.com/LARGE-DNA250C-CURVE-CNC-Anodized-Aluminum-Enclosure/ https://www.stealthvape.co.uk/NLS-G5-DNA250C-12MM-BLACK?filter_name=dna250c
  11. Does anyone know what enclosure was used in this video of Brandon (Evolv) and Daniel (DJLsbVapes) discussing the 250C?
  12. Duplicated my original ticket. Hopefully I’ll heard back this time.... really surprised I haven’t heard back yet. Evolv’s support is the number one reason I don’t own any other mods...
  13. Thanks but that’s what I meant. I submitted a ticket already and haven’t heard back.
  14. I emailed Evolv regarding support for what I believe to be a failed 250C board about 5 days ago and have yet to hear back. In my experience this is very unlike their usual support. Does anyone have any insight as to what the holdup might be? I generally hear back from them within two business days. Once I waited three....
  15. New to the 250C board..... I have several 200s, 75s and a couple 75cs. On these other boards, the device screen comes on when plugged in to charge. The 250C does not. With the 200s and boards before it, I was able to keep the screen on while it was charging. Is this an option with the 250c that I may be overlooking? To recap, I'd like the 250c screen to come on when plugged in and to stay on (adjustable brightness) while charging. Is this possible with the 250c?
  16. Well.... I have identified to problem. It seems there is a problem with my USB hub and or Escribe. Prior to my recent move, connecting through the hub wasn't a problem.. Now, recognition of the devices through the hub seems to be intermittent.
  17. Thanks retird but..... 3 of the 4 cables I tried are in fact new outta the box also. No dice.... the onboard USB is (seems to be) the culprit. Really bummed me out too as I waited longer than I should have had to, to get the parts in. Then, struggled with some of the soldering only to find the USB port (seems) to be bad. I assume Evolve will send me an RMA and I'll send the mod to them to troubleshoot. Their support on all the retail DNA devices I own has always been superb. I can't imagine this DIY mod will be any different. Just gotta wait.... some more.
  18. I just received and installed a new 250c board today. After finally getting everything assembled, I find that the usb connection is very loose and neither the board nor the computer respond when connecting to USB. By loose, I mean the cable connection to the port and not the port on the board itself. I have tried several known good usb cables with no response. Has anyone had similar experiences? Is there something I can do to troubleshoot? I have already submitted a ticket to Evolve, but thought I'd check the forum in the meantime.

  20. I don't have a fix but a suggestion: Don't bother with FastTech if you end up RMAing it. The guys here at Evolv will fix for $0. Evolv is a great company. They stand 100% behind their chips even when the mod sucks. They will make it right, period. (Not implying that you mod sucks) You can create a help desk ticket to get your issue sorted out here: https://helpdesk.evolvapor.com
  21. When using the newly introduced boost feature on a 250 board, I get a 'Check Battery' message with 54% battery left. I understand why but think this is because of a limit in Escribe preventing us from entering a higher Max Amp limit. Currently, one can set a max of 28amps. The batteries I am using are VTC5As and they have a max of 30amps. Not to mention, the battery configuration in this mod is parallel so, isn't the amp draw cut in half for each battery?
  22. I sent a DNA 200 mod into Evolv a while back and they replaced the board. The board they installed says DNA250 but Escribe recognizes it as a 200. I figured they installed the 250 because maybe they were out of 200s. Regardless, Escribe says its a 200. Why then do you think the board says 250? I can't see them building 200s on boards printed as 250s, can you?
  23. Yep.... 2.75 I'm leaning towards either a faulty board or faulty connection.
  24. I also have a Therion BF 75C. This being a single battery 75C mod. Running the analyzer on the same batteries that failed in the Paranormal, results are inline with expectations. Analyzer runs without fail and results are reporting watt hours I would expect.
