  1. How's the Velocity with temp control builds and this DNA200? Is it one of your favorites? I'm getting ready to get an RDA or two that will be used mostly for NI200 and Titanium Gr. 1, and I'm trying to decide which ones, leaning towards the Velocity, Dot Mod Petri, and derringer. But I haven't decided which one I'll get for sure and which one I'd place second in case I can manage to buy a second one. It's a nice looking box by the way, and its yours, and I think anyone having a DNA 200, and especially have 2 of them, is special
  2. Just so you know you aren't alone, I made the same mistake. Went through all the hassles of diagnosing my USB boards and drivers, etc, before realizing on accident that it was all working to begin with and I just happened to grab two different power only USB cables first out of my pile. I didn't even know I had any power only cables, but sure enough, it connected as soon as I had one with full USB data cables.
  3. I'm running a Joe Litt (he's the modder) Litt Up Customs mod, the model is the "44", which is named after Joe's dad, it's his cart racing number nothing related to the mod specs. It's in a Hammond box with a shapeways 3D printed size bezel. I just wanted to mention that I love this bezel that has the screen, buttons, and USB port all built in. It's really clean with a REALLY good smooth yet suade type feel, it gives the hammond a very high end type feel where it gets felt up by my fingers. I'm not sure who makes the bezel but it's very high resolution 3D printing and it's been used exclusively since I got it almost 3 weeks ago, in and out of cupholders, vape boxes, airports and courthouse security scans, etc and still looks brand new. I'll attach a pic, some modders will probably know what this housing side panel is called, but if there's different ones for different size hammond boxes, it may be of help to you. Mine's on a pretty big hammond box with a 2000 mah 3S LiPo, so I know lots of people will want a smaller one.
  4. I was playing with this on steam-engine.org and I was wondering if I was just supposed to select the Titanium 1 wire option only (I'm using Gr. 1 Ti, well I will be, just got the wire so far) and create the CSV file, or click the "add wire" button for the other wires I run also. I wasn't sure when I saw that I could select just one wire or a whole bunch, and I haven't gotten to research it yet. Am I the only one too stupid to know what to do here lol?
  5. I've been running this since it was introduced and everything's been fine for me with escribe and the firmware, although I haven't done much with TC, it's been almost all Kanthal operation.
  6. I've got a maxamps.com 3S LiPo with XT60 connections and it works well in my mod. The box has some room though, so I can't comment on tiny enclosures, I'm using a large hammond box with a 2000 mah 3S LiPo and room to spare.
  7. Are you using the Sweet Spot Vapors Ti wire? I was hearing from a couple of people that had some problems while using that wire because they assumed it was grade 1 titanium wire but because it's actually a custom blend, it reacts differently than expected. I don't think that's the cause of what you're reporting and since they're working on the DNA 200 data specific to their wire I think it's even less likely. I just wanted to ask if it's that wire in case it's helpful for the Evolv guys to know when doing their analyzing or troubleshooting.
  8. I'm using the Varitube 510 connector in a Hammond box, and I'm running a Twisted Messes RDA with dual claptons at .16 ohms. I've run it about a week steady at 120-140 watts, and a good bit more time in the 80 to 100 watt range. It's handled the heat/power fine so far. I know this isn't any kind of long term result like if I tested it for several months, but I wanted to comment in case it is helpful to you.
  9. Joe Litt is building some nice DNA 200 mods, they're large beasts and built quite nicely. Wherever you get your DNA 200, I can honestly say that it will be very much worth the wait if you're fortunate enough to get to own and vape on one. This chip has surpassed all my expectations, and made me really excited about the future of vaping from the chip side of the industry. I giggle when I read the fasttech forums and people speculating on the DNA 200 who have no idea what they're talking about, because they will be eating their words.
  10. Yeah looks like you got it fingered out, but I figured I'd add that I don't have problems in the 120-150 range, and I've run it at 200 for craps and giggles, so it's something on the custom setting side most likely. I didn't want someone to run across this and start posting all over the place that the chip wont run Kanthal over 100 watts.
  11. I'm running a maxamps 2000 mah 3S LiPo, I believe this is the setup I've got http://www.maxamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=Lipo-2000-111-Pack
  12. This is my new baby, and I'm absolutely loving it. The pictures aren't nearly the quality the device deserves but I couldn't wait any longer to share it. I'm so impressed with the device and the chip, it's already so impressive how well developed the chip, firmware, and escribe software is. http://imgur.com/a/j9J6Q
