Let it charge up once fully and the meter will set itself or go to Device Monitor->Diagnostics->Set Charge Estimate to set the current charge level. You're not in any danger.

Hmm, Opus uses the same screens everyone else uses. Even came out of the same batch we received. Are you certain the Nickel case isn't making it appear brighter?

Due to the new board dimensions and input power requirements, many of the vendors are having to totally redesign their mods. Remember, we had 3 generations of dimension-ally identical boards. Opus just happened to have a dual 18650 case that fit a lipo rather nicely, which allowed him to get to market sooner. I suspect you'll see quite a few production mods hitting the market in the next 2 weeks.

John tested it on an HP stream 7 tablet and it worked fine. You can pick one up on Amazon for $70-$80 and it's quite portable.

The Data sheet shows 3 possible orientations for the balance connector. If you are mounting using the through holes, the slot goes down (farther from the USB).

Opus is not a daughter manufacturer of Evolv. The owner of Opus (Roger) used to do some contract assembly work for us when we were still manufacturing the Darwin. After we retired the Darwin he wanted to start his own mod company. I lent him the money to start the business and helped him incorporate. He paid me back in full, a year later and I ceased having any interest in Opus. Opus is fully owned by Roger and has no ties to me or Evolv.

David, If you have a multi-meter, measure the total pack voltage and see if it matches the 4V reported in the device monitor.

If the pack shipped with a cell out of balance, it will charge but it will likely charge very slowly. Get a reading of the 3 cells from the EScribe device monitor and post them here. We may need to walk you through a USB recovery charge.

The firmware due this week has a battery analyzer which will generate and save an accurate discharge curve.
