jailin
Hey there peoples. Been trying to get Stainless "working" in TC for a few hours and I am running out of ideas. :: I have added the material from steam-engine.org's CSV file and edited a profile to change the material to the new 316L. :: I have made a spaced, 0.89Ohm coil :: Did NOT dry burn :: Temp set to 250C and 50w and watched as the cotton burst into flames Using a cloned Kayfun 5 and a Nalu dripper and getting the same results. The wire is UD 28g 316L. Any advice?
awsum140
I don't use cotton but a quick Google of the burning point of cotton shows as 210C. Since you're running 250C I think you're seeing a predictable result.
jailin
But the coils are glowing in TC and that shouldn't happen no matter what temp

dwcraig1
My thoughts are as follows, either the wrong TCR or a horrible connection somewhere between the board and the coil. K5's are known to have a slightly shorter 510 so a wonky connection between the M - F 510 is quite possible.

Wayneo
Where's the "Full Printscreen" that was bolded @dwcraig1 I don't think he's in TC at all
dwcraig1
A screen like this would be helpful: (SS430)
awsum140
I'd also side with DW, and speculate that the chip is not seeing the wire as TCR and firing in strictly power mode. Screen prints of device monitor will make a constructive answer a lot easier.
