DNA 250

Evolv is once again proud to announce our new DNA 250 board. The boards are available now in extremely limited quantities. Because of component lead times customers will be limited to 1 board per device that they plan to release plus one board as a spare. We expect this to improve as component lead times improve.

The DNA 250 is the same size as the DNA 200, uses 3 cell series voltage input, utilizing the same mounting and layout for the buttons, screen, and USB with the addition of a few exciting features.

-250 Watts max

-55 Amp current output limit

-2 Amp charging via Micro USB

-Onboard reverse voltage protection

-Higher current fuse

-Smoother control system for Stainless Steel wire with Temperature Protection
(This is a firmware update and is also available for the 200, giving it a similar control structure to the DNA 75)

Man i wish this had come out earlier. other than the boxer no mods can use this. well in the US. 

I hope that some china company makes a mod out of this even though the USA is out of the loop. looking at you lost vapes. I want that triade 250.

that' not necessarily true, I put 2 in some of my dna200 mods and sold them and I would'n be surprised if many other modders may have done the same, so when these boards do start coming they may be available from some us sellers

I built this for a customer before the deadline. I'm sure there are others that have done the same.

Frogmod, did you happen to try it out, before it went out the door? any noticeable difference in performance, over the dna 200? With a 25% increase in power, I bet in lower settings, it has more of what is referred to in guitar amps as, "headroom".  I never vape anywhere near 100 watts, but love my DNA 200 for it's performance at lower settings.

oh yeah I tried it out for a full day. I didn't think there was any improvement as far as power but I didn't max it out. The TI profile I think was smoother. And that was the only thing I tried. I told the customer if he had any problems to let me know. He was ecstatic about getting, he was vaping at 125w for the 30mins I was there at the shop.

I honestly don't want to buy lipo based DNA 250 mods. Either the battery life is meh because of a relatively small lipo or its huge to fit a high capacity lipo. 

Hence why I absolutely adore the reuleaux and triade.

I have two Reuleaux DNA200 and two Triades myself. The only lipo DNA200 I like are the Hotcig DX200 because you can swap out lipos super fast (faster than swapping 18650s).

so does anyone know the dimensions on the 250 custom? materials used?

While I don't know I purchased one on the 4th. I'll be slightly disappointed if it's not a typical ERM with 900 mah lipo.

I just built this one last weekend and have only had to charge it once since I built it and I've been vaping it like there's no tomorrow. 150 watt preheat with 100 Watts maintaining.i think the battery life on the 250 is a lot better.

No it's a Alpinetech G+ and it's a tight fit with the 1850mah battery.

It's probably the same as the DNA200 reference mod. Which I have one of those and it's one of my favorite mods. The battery life is my only issue with it

Is the board coated?

It looks like some of it is coated. Almost like it's coated around the components.

Some of the earliest ones I believe "left" without the coating. Sounds good.
