Llama
Now we have two ways to use VW mode: setting the temperature to OFF, or using a non TC material. I am usually doing the former, as it shows watts on the main screen, and I noticed so far is that it's possible to use a pre-heat with the "temperature OFF" method, but not with the material one.I was wondering if there was any other difference between thoses two ways. dwcraig1
Can you explain using preheat with temp off in greater detail?
Llama
I don't use pre-heat so maybe I'm wrong, but at least I noticed that when you set a TC material, and select "Off" for the temperature in escribe, it still shows the preheat settings, while it disapears when selecting a non-TC material. VapingBad
I believe they work the same as preheat needs temp sensing and doesn't even get used until the board is sure you have a temp sensing coil fitted. The non temp sensing wire is a new feature and it is probably that they didn't get time to hide the preheat settings when you click off.
Rebelgolfer72
I for one would love to see a preheat for non-TC modes. Have it as a percentage of set wattage (I.e. 5, 10, 20% boost etc). ProVape and YiHi are doing it, so I would think that the most advanced board out there should be doing it as well.
dropdlicious
I feel like my VS 200 kinda does preheat in wattage mode. I only use wattage on mine and every time I fire it the wattage jumps to about 70% then 100%. I've got it set at 133watts and it jumps to 96.7watts for a split second before getting to 133.
