A friend and I got together and decided our next step from mech was to build our own boxes, and so we decided to buy the dna200 and make a great box out of it, one for each of us, and have an amazing time while doing so. I just wanted to check with y'all, since y'all seem to have a lot of experience when it comes to this particular subject.

This is my part list, do y'all think everything is good? Please feel free to tell me if any parts will conflict or if we're doing something wrong.

What are the transistors for? The fire button of the 200 goes straight to positive battery voltage (9-12V) and is active high, you can tap power straight off it (with an appropriate limit resistor) if you want.

Or if you are feeling especially adventurous, there are pads around the onboard fire button for LEDs, but that is a difficult solder job.

Well, we want to wire in an LED fire button, and have it only light up when we fire the mod. Wouldn't wiring the LED straight to the board make it always be lit up?

If you look below the fire button you will see 4 small solder pads. Attach a 100 ohm resistor between the 2 pads on the left above the screen-printed 'F'.  Resistor link

Above the fire button, near the board edge and slightly off to the right, you will see 2 identical small solder pads. Attach your LED there, cathode side toward the middle of the board.

That will give you what you want.

Could you show us in a schematic how to do so? We can't figure out where we would need to solder the resistor. And by doing so, do we not need any of the other resistors/transistor?

Hey y'all, I found this 100 ohm resistor from an electronics company that is close to me. It is almost identical to the resistor Brandon posted, but it has a 50V voltage rating. It's this. Y'all think it's OK for my build?

The remote switch lines don't run power? so if i mount a remote switch with an led in the traditional way it wont illuminate?

In theory no...you will want to power your LED per the outline a few posts up.

Sorry but im new to the resistors but why are you using a 100 ohm resistor . Can someone explain that in detail . Can you use a smaller ohm or bigger ohm resistor in its place . What are you using to calculate this for the dna 200 chip to know which one to use?

you don't need a resistor for smd leds. that set up is for adding a push button with built in LED's here's a link if you want to add LED's.

I don't want to use an smd led my plan was to wire a push button led directly to the board . It has 4 pins . 2 for the led pos neg 2 for the fire . I found this diagram that some said they are gonna use and this is how i want it . Is this possible? .

yes thats the correct diagram. i thought you wanted to use smd leds. sorry

TBH, i'm not 100% sure on the 100 ohm resistor. i think the LED voltage determines the resistor value.

Do you happen to know what info i would need to find what resistor i would need for it to work .

I found this online on a resistor calculator but what is the source voltage on the dna200 chip and where are you getting the info from. Source voltage diode forward voltage Help diode forward current (mA) Help

this what i found for a BLUE (same for WHITE) led mitec switch.     supply voltage (pack voltage)=12 diode forward voltage= 3.2 diode forward current=28mA.  i would open a ticket with evolv to make sure on what resistors you need, if any, for your led switch.

your post (#22) is the correct wiring diagram.
