Therion 166 won't connect to escribe

I purchased a theory and 166 and it will not connect to escribe. It will show me the device monitoring it will hard and soft reset but it does not download Settings. It gives me and EEPROM error when plugged in. I went to my local Vape shop and it won't connect to their computer or to any of the four I tried at home. We try other theory and 166 is and they also will not connect the triad 250 connected just fine and the Hcigar 167 connected just fine. So now there's confusion because it's not just the 250 DNA chip but only the theory on 166 .

We tried some at the vape shop there display models they don't connect either!

strange. maybe something lost vape is doing incorrectly during the manufacturing process. you did say the Vt167 connected no problem.

Vt167 worked fine. I got in contact with lost vape and they sent me info for escribe that got me running.

Also just encountered this issue. In Escribe I went to tools > apply service pack > DNA 250 > 1_2_SP5.sw-service

Out of curiosity, what firmware version was your device running before? Also, what operating system are you running?

Same issue too - "unable to read eprom" 
Didn't think to check the original version but applying the service pack fixed it

Try the EScribe in the [EARLY] section of https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66731-topic/
It fixes the EEPROM read error.

Try downloading the latest version of EScribe (link in my foOter) and forcing a service pack (fw) update.

Hi All 

My first post, I've just downloaded latest escribe and there is no option for 166 (Therion 166).  Just a little cautious and don't want any hick ups, any help would be grateful.

The 166 has a DNA 250 board in it. Just plug in the USB...you will be ok!
