  1. I thought I'd add these for UD 316L wire, version 4 is a little warmer. I'm using 1 single 24 gauge wire at appx 0.32 Ohms. The 'standard' SS316L was too cool. Version 3 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv3 Version 4 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv4
  2. There are so many 'SS316L' alloy mixes, nevermind the non SAE conversions that it's difficult to use any SS316L without knowing exactly what you have. Here's some for UD SS316L, version 4 is a tad warmer; I'm using 1 single 24 gauge wire at appx 0.32 Ohms. The 'standard' SS316L was too cool. Version 3 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv3 Version 4 - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ud-ss316ldjaquithv4 Another variant of SS316L - http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ss316ldjaquithv7
  3. Thanks for the feedback. I've been using a 0.40 Ohm dual coil 26 gauge SS316L at 60W with 75W, punch=2, 1 sec. If I use 100W, punch=5 or higher and > 1 sec it can give a dry hit if the wicking isn't fully saturated. 24 gauge is easier and regulations better, so I've been testing on the most 'fragile/sensitive' conditions.
  4. I appreciate the feedback! I know it runs a tad warm, but when I change the values it gets more unstable, but I'll tweak it probably this weekend and if I can get it better I'll post it here. Thanks again.
  5. Has anyone tried the values that I posted? Also if you dry burn, cotton burn test, what happens? While I edited my CSV file in Excel, here's a link to the actual file http://www.filedropper.com/dna200-ss316ldjaquithv7 Good luck and any feedback would be appreciated.
  6. I've run across this topic and had the same thoughts about SS TC issues. The SS316L wire I received using the TCR files would glow my coils orange and light my cotton on fire. So I don't know if it's my wire or not, but I manually edited the Steam Engine's DNA 200 SS316L profile. After 7 attempts it seems to be regulating better and my cotton isn't lighting on fire. Values I'm using now: Temperature (degF)Electrical Resistivity-580.9230646812121.053021.1053921.1474821.25721.2258001.29
  7. Thanks! :-) Damn, that Green Series Life 1050 LiFe was so close (88mm X 34mm X 20mm), but I'll certain keep her in mind. It'll fit in a larger Box. Box size I'm trying to fit is 86x71x23mm.
  8. Brandon, I know you're trying to help and for that thanks. However, there isn't anything out there you've tested? Sure you can Series 3 x 18650 LiFePO4 batteries, in that case I'll use my regular 18650's instead. Certainly in 'testing' you guys looked into non-LiPo batteries, didn't you? There are no 'small' packs, just LiPo's and a few at that. Instead, most LiFePO4 packs are 30 mm minimum LxWxH cube minimum or are silly in length. e.g. 137 mm (~5.4") and larger. 9. I'm aware they're larger and it is the reason I'm asking. I'm trying to find the smallest LiFe (LFE, LiFePO4) battery that will work on the DNA 200. As am I certain many prefer not to use a LiPo. Simply I prefer the chemistry of LiFePO4 batteries.
  10. Has anyone found a small LiFe (not LiPo) battery? I'd like to find something like the "Turnigy nano-tech 1000mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack" but in LiFe and better maybe a 1300 or 1500 mAh 25C or 30C. Thanks
