My SS builds usually come out 0,11-0,13Ohm (using UD SS316L AWG24-26) and work fine. Check your mod settings, case parameters and mod resistance should be set properly for using low resistance SS coils.
I like when my coils heat up instantly, so preheat power is usually maxed out and punch is set to 3-5 for 1sec. You should play with coil calculators every time you wrap a new coil to configure your power and achieve heat coefficient between 0,20-0,30W/mm^2 (I prefer 0,30)
Yes, you're tired:-) The wire you use as wrap can not significantly affect TCR or even basic resistance because of it's length is approx 15x greater than core wire. Check on steam engine - the TFR curve stays the same when you switch from single ss wire to ss/kanthal clapton. The main rule for claptons is to use temp sensitive wire as core, wrapping doesn't matter.
I use SS316 as core wire for my claptons and kanthal as a wrap. Even though SS has much lower TCR than titanium, everything works fine with standard curve. So feel free to experiment;-)
Just updated. Battery bar went to 0% but almost instantly returned to 51%. First impressions: TC on SS became amaizingly smooth. Running dual fused claptons 0.12ohm 120watts with 150w preheat on my RDTA, and now i have really pleasant vape, much much better than before! Thank you Evolv for great work!!!!!!
