Some of the first DNA Go boards can occasionally get into a state where they do not respond to button presses or USB. As of this posting, we have received reports of 180 affected devices. Approximately the first 30,000 devices produced might have it happen at some point. We’ve produced about 78,000 boards total. In the spirit of transparency, we’ve created a publicly accessible page which will automatically update from our production and service servers, so that we (and you) can track this as it goes. https://www.evolvapor.com/info/dna-go-stats A few key points: Current production DNA Go devices shouldn’t be affected. If your board was made in October 2018 or later, it shouldn’t be at risk of ever exhibiting this issue. The devices aren’t actually damaged. They’re just in a hardware reset state waiting for a signal that won’t ever come. We found the root cause approximately a month ago, after the first affected devices came in. The problem is in the circuitry that can read an analog microphonic pressure sensor (more expensive than the typical vaping device pressure switches), and since neither the Orion nor any of the other DNA Go based devices that we know of actually use this functionality, we just disabled it. If you send a device showing this behavior to us, it takes about 5 minutes to make the modifications and reset it, so they’re being turned around quickly. Once repaired, your device is no longer at risk of it happening again. So far, only about 6 per 1000 of the potentially affected devices have exhibited this problem. We expect most never will, but that number will increase somewhat as time goes on. We’re extending Lost Vape’s 90 day warranty to 1 year for affected units for this issue only. Evolv is proud to announce our new DNA 60 board. It is a DNA 40 sized board with the added functionality of EScribe. The boards are available now in extremely limited quantities to enable our customers to have products on the market before the FDA August 8th deadline. Because of component lead times, volume availability is not expected until October of 2016. As a result customers will be limited to 1 board per device that they plan to release plus one board as a spare. Attached is a solid model of the board. It is largely the same dimensions as the DNA 40 with the following exceptions. -The inductor on the back of the board is 4mm high like the DNA 20 & 30 not 3.5mm like the DNA 40. -The fire button is the green fire button from the DNA 75 & 200 not the 3.1mm tall button from the DNA 40. -The adjust buttons are new, taller and clickier than the previous buttons but still waterproof. - The board has 5 through holes on the bottom for data and charger. We are planning and are currently working on another firmware update. It will likely include some UI/UX changes culled from users like you on this forum. We plan to continue to listen and improve the DNA 200 platform. We haven't abandoned you, I promise.

Yes, I work at Evolv and yes you are correct. Although, you're unlikely to hit 200W due to the boards 50 amp output limit.

That would be absolutely true IF the DNA 200 were a mech mod but it isn't. The DNA 200 is a converter which steps down voltage and steps up current and can output the needed 50 amps while only requiring a maximum of 23 amps from the battery to do it. Well within the safe range of most 3s Lipo's.

Yep, bought one of those too and they work great! And surprisingly cheap.

The DNA 200 has a 9v output limitation. So, it would depend on the wattage you wanted. At 1.2 ohms you would be limited to a 67.5 watts initially (room temp coil) and as the titanium coil increases in resistance with temperature, the possible output wattage would descend in kind.

I think Mike Vapes has more DNA 200 mod's than I do!

It could be a malfunctioning board or a depressed button would negate the soft cut off in EScribe. It cannot enforce the limit with a depressed button.

1 amp is the default charge rate.

Keep it connected and Device Monitor up while vaping. When the screen disappears again, check to see if the 0 changes to a 1?

What is your board temp? If it is over 130f it will maintain the current charge state but won't allow the recovery charge to throw any more current at it.

Recovery charge allows the charger to turn on even when one or more cells have fallen below 2 volts. It will only stay on briefly (a minute or so) before returning to its normal 2 volt limit. The idea is, if a cell has dropped below the 2v threshold it should, with a brief charge, jump back above 2v. Recovery charge will not work if any cell has fallen below 1 volt.

attach the mod to the PC->Go to EScribe->click Help->About->Click the Evolv logo 7 times->open Device Monitor->on the left side of the screen next to Screen Disconnects, what does it say?

Lemme guess, it comes with companion software called YIscribe *Sigh*

+1 Mad Scientist. It looks for a rise in resistance equivalent to 150F in the first second. If it doesn't see it then it drops out of temp control. If you set your wattage too low on a freshly connected temp coil (remember no preheat on the first fire after a disconnect) it may not see enough resistance rise and drop out of temp control. Or if you place a hot coil on it may not see enough of a rise to continue to temp control.

Absolutely, if you want to change it yourself it won't effect your warranty.
