  1. I've updated the MacOS download of EScribe Suite SP45. This update makes it compatible with MacOS 10.12 (Sierra) and up. If it didn't work for you before, download it now and it should.

  4. @mactavish: You mean "Apple's" iPad mini. Download the installer now. I've updated it with a Sierra-compatible version. Enjoy As an aside, our Windows version still works on Windows XP SP3. I haven't seen any meaningful improvement in operating systems in nearly 20 years. Just more spyware and more chains. Oh, and less well-researched and less well-done user interface design. So, yes, I intend to keep it working with older computers.
  5. @mactavish: I just tested on MacOS Sierra 10.12. I got it working, and am making an update right now.
  6. @copyman: That's the same crash. Are you sure you downloaded it again and ran the new one? (Try clearing your browser cache.) I am testing it on MacOS Mojave (in a VM) right now and it is working.
  7. @copyman: I have updated the download with a fix to that bug. Redownload and reinstall and let me know if it now works for you. Thanks!
  8. I've posted up the Mac version of EScribe Suite, Service Pack 45: https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66731-early-firmware-and-escribe-suite/#comment-939267
  9. Oh interesting. @immelman: What permissions do you have for /home/(username)/.local/opt/evolv/escribe-suite? Is it owned by root, by any chance? (It should not be.)
  10. It doesn't automatically launch after install. It should put itself into your launcher menu's "Other" category.
  11. I've posted a new service pack, SP45, for EScribe Suite. It includes test firmware for DNA Color devices, with "Session Mode" and fixed "Temp Sensing Detect". Let me know if you run into any bugs with it! Enjoy https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/66731-early-firmware-and-escribe-suite/?do=findComment&comment=939267
  12. @copyman: Found the bug. Thanks for your feedback! It is now fixed in SP45.
  13. I've posted a newer installer up. Let me know how it works for you! Enjoy

  15. EScribe Suite 2.0 SP45For US-based customers (Windows): https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP45_US_ServicePack.exe For US-based customers (Mac): https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP45_US.pkgFor international customers (Windows): https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP45_INT_ServicePack.exe For international customers (Mac): https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_SP45_INT.pkgFor customers using Linux, see the beta thread. Have a good weekend James --- DNA 75 Color, 100 Color, 250 Color --- This test firmware, SP55.1, adds a "Session Mode". When enabled, you don't have to hold the Fire button down. Instead, you press it to start firing, and press it again to stop firing. This is useful at low power settings (or with a temperature-sensing coil), especially with high thermal mass coils or e-liquids that need to warm slowly. You can enable Session Mode and customize the Session Time using EScribe Suite, or on the device if you have a compatible theme. For theme designers, the fields you need are "Atomizer -> Session Mode -> Enable" and "Atomizer -> Session Mode -> Time". Researchers should be aware that on-device trace recording only works for the first 64 seconds of a puff. This test firmware also fixes a problem with "Temp Sensing Detect". Previously, the device would not attempt to re-detect whether a coil was temperature sensing or not after disconnecting and reconnecting the coil. Now, it does. --- EScribe Suite --- Readded support for MacOS 10.12 "Sierra". Added support for MacOS 10.16 "Ventura". Minor bug fixes.
  16. I'll have to give Mint 20 a try and see. FWIW, this gives you more information while connecting: udevadm control --log-priority=info To switch it back: udevadm control --log-priority=err
  17. ttyACM is for the device's serial port. Hmm. Mine also restricts it to USB Vendor ID 268b, and adds tags (used by some newer distributions). How old is the OS on that one? Do you get any udev errors when connecting it? https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/36251/in-which-log-should-i-check-for-udev-errors
  18. Interesting. How is your 99 rules different from the 60 rules, then?
  19. By any chance is that system missing /usr/bin/pkexec? (That and bash should be all that is needed for the 'grant permission' script, which doesn't appear to have copied the rules in your case.) (Alternatively, are there any permissions set on the system which would prevent a file from the user's temp directory being copied to /etc/udev.d ?)
  20. What does it say if you send this command? getfacl /dev/hidraw2 Is there a file 60-dimension_engineering.rules in /etc/udev.d ?
  21. What are the permissions on the hidraw device? On mine it's user root, group plugdev.
  22. The crash was related to a condition in the theme. For some reason it had not been stored properly in the device memory.
  23. What theme is your device running? Try this: https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_2022-04-26_INT_test2.run
  24. @AmadVaper: See if this version still crashes for you: https://downloads.evolvapor.com/SetupEScribe2_2022-04-26_INT_test.run It's more recent, so if it does crash, I should be able to decode the crash more easily. Thanks! James
