jcrawford
I am just a bit curious why my SMOK G-Priv which is also a dual battery mod can do 220W but the Lost Vape Drone BF which is DNA 250 has a max of 167W? It does not make a large difference to me at this point as I rarely go to those levels but I am curious why.
Wayneo
The DNA 250 cannot do it because it's buck only no boost.

Thanks for that information, I had to reference what they meant but it gave me more knowledge now With Buck will I see better battery performance and longevity? Mainly with the better efficiency you should notice longer run time, maybe 10% fewer charge cycles and longer battery lifetime. But also slight less strain on the batteries with more vape power per Amp from the batteries or to put it another way fewer Amps from the battery per Watt vape power. Wayneo
The specs on the board is 97% efficiency. Longevity is up to your vaping characteristics, batteries you choose, etc.
jcrawford
Thank You both for the information, I have yet to get into all of the internals of how mod's work since I do not build mods but understanding is my first priority. strikeiii
In 167 dual battery mode does it cut down the output voltage to 6.15v? I was under the impression I'd still be able to get up to the 9v output?
Wayneo
Hardware limitation of 6v in 2 cell mode. Buck design, no boost.
