Error when trying to connect

Recommended Posts

So I recently got a board, I've connected my 3S Lipo on it and when I try to connect it to Escribe I get the error "EEPROM read failed". I've updated the firmware but every time I try to connect or upload/download settings I get the same error.

I live in Europe and got this from stealthvape uk; it seems that it's one of the early boards as the date I get through Escribe is 18th of June.
Any ideas?

I recommend you try it on another system to verify if it is computer related or board related.  If you get "EEPROM read failed" on another computer...I would stop looking at the computer setup.

Yeah it was the VM causing the issue.

Do you have .net framework installed. For some reason I think it's required

.net is a requirement and will install before the program is able to install

Yes, today in the afternoon I decided to try connecting it just out of curiosity at the office PC and it worked without any problems. Previously I was running it through a VM; I tried VMware Fusion, Parallels and different Windows versions, on different computers but always got the same error.

For the time being I'll have to use a PC until I get it to work with a VM.
