soulseek Posted August 13, 2015 Author Report Posted August 13, 2015 So I recently got a board, I've connected my 3S Lipo on it and when I try to connect it to Escribe I get the error "EEPROM read failed". I've updated the firmware but every time I try to connect or upload/download settings I get the same error.I live in Europe and got this from stealthvape uk; it seems that it's one of the early boards as the date I get through Escribe is 18th of June.Any ideas?
soulseek Posted August 14, 2015 Author Report Posted August 14, 2015 Bump!!Does anyone from Evolv have any feedback or should I just RMA this board?
sandsd22 Posted August 16, 2015 Report Posted August 16, 2015 same thing here i keep getting eeprom fail, and communications issue. But i can use the device manager and escribe sees my hana.
blueridgedog Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 I would open a ticket and send the chip back unless the support folks at the ticket end have a solution.
mrjake22 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Having the same issue with my Hana Modz but not sure if its beacuse I'm running a virtual machine or not.
blueridgedog Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I use a virtual machine without issue.
Tomr1088 Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Do you have .net framework installed. For some reason I think it's required
blueridgedog Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 I recommend you try it on another system to verify if it is computer related or board related. If you get "EEPROM read failed" on another computer...I would stop looking at the computer setup.

soulseek Posted August 19, 2015 Author Report Posted August 19, 2015 Yes, today in the afternoon I decided to try connecting it just out of curiosity at the office PC and it worked without any problems. Previously I was running it through a VM; I tried VMware Fusion, Parallels and different Windows versions, on different computers but always got the same error. For the time being I'll have to use a PC until I get it to work with a VM.
blueridgedog Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 I use VirtualBox and there is a write up of how to do the connection under software called "Mac Support".
