pdizzle
Looking for a tip on how I could go about grounding in a wood box with 1/4" walls. I have a varitube 510 at my disposal but don't think it will be long enough to get a nut and ground on.
VapingBad
You could solder the ground wire to the brass nut and tighten the 510 from the top (the back of a some knives work if they are hard enough steel, the right width and have a straight square edge, I used a high carbon steel Frosts Mora). pdizzle
I don't even know if I'll have enough room for a nut lol
scoopy
Take a Dremel or something to the inside of the wood box and grind some off til u have enough room to get the nut on there...........or just sand the whole top of the inside of the box down til u have enough of the 510 sticking out
blueridgedog
I think you have to make room for a nut. You can't thread the wood then solder, as you would burn the mod. The only other long shot is a top washer with a wire that goes down though the mod, threading the wood.
