Thanks for the info, I'm going to try to install it in a .750 or 1" tube and make it rain proof

Great idea. You can make a very sleek and light mod when using external power.
Please post when finished.
Oh, a tip; I'm not sure how you were planning on installing the fuse but there's a great lighter plug on eBay that has a built in, easy to replace (by unscrewing the tip) fuse.

I plan on it but first I have to get my battery one built first. I've thought about the lighter plug but I'm not sure it would handle the amps, I might just run a dedicated wire, as far as the fuse I was thinking about this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/161226669125?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F711-117182-37290-0%252F2%253Fmtid%253D1588%2526kwid%253D1%2526crlp%253D53601919689_324272%2526itemid%253D161226669125%2526targetid%253D87946144449%2526rpc%253D0.19%2526rpc_upld_id%253D53285%2526rlsatarget%253D%2526device%253Dm%2526mpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.com%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F161226669125%25253Flpid%25253D82%252526chn%25253Dps%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526gclid%253DCJS985nFnMcCFQ2OaQod3O4AZQ%2526srcrot%253D711-117182-37290-0%2526rvr_id%253D881524363744 and install it at the bottom of tube but I need to measure some to see if it would work

This will fit inside a .750 tube with the corners rounded off using the low profile mini fuse it's rated for 20A which is fine for me I'd rather blow a 20A fuse before the 25A SMD one goes http://www.mouser.com/Search/m_ProductDetail.aspx?Keystone-Electronics%2f3588%2f&qs=sGAEpiMZZMtRmoYvq3OwzPu1j8c6R%252bXbiEp%2fc%252bjR%2fsE%3d

Ah yes, looks like a car fuse. But may I ask why you want to use a fuse? If you make sure everything's wired up like it should then there's no chance it's going to blow unless something would be seriously wrong with the board itself.

I think any connection to the vehicle, especially one that will draw up to 23A, should be fused.  This is not to protect the mod, but the rest of the car.

Yeah that would make it easier, I think I'm making harder then it should be

Any devise requiring power from the car should be fused within 12 inches of the power supply [battery]. That way the positive feed line is protected for the entire distance of its length, not just the internals of the mod.
