Aeckman
Im having a lot of trouble getting my DNA 200 working properly. I am thinking its stemming from a possible short during assembly. I had everything soldered on properly, then when I went to attach the positive from the battery to the board I had some sparks, and actually got a nice shock. I tried it a second time and got it working. Now, with that being said I can not get my power button to work, and both my tactile buttons for the up and down work. The weird thing is they both just increase wattage, so the down is acting like an up. But the screen lights up and everything looks good there so Im thinking the short couldn't have been to bad. Any advice? Really hoping to get this working soon
awsum140
I'm not an expert, but, sounds like you fried the board in one way or another. I'd suggest opening a ticket and installing a plug on the battery connections. AN XT30 is a little smallish, but will work fine.
JaySoCal
Have you taken the board out of the mod and tried to plug it Into EScribe or hook the battery back up sounds like you have a short to ground
borderlinepro
use a pin connector for your battery instead of soldering power straight to the board... you probably shorted the board
BillW50
Did you check the fuse near the battery connections on the underside? You can't always tell without an ohmmeter.
KTMRider
Can't really say w/o looking at your soldering but you shouldn't get any sparks. I've soldered the battery directly to the board on a couple of my mods and never had any sparks. You should solder the positive lead from the battery first, then the ground.
