  1. @Wayneo @dwcraig1 Hi gents, any update on the topic? Stil100c can't be calibrated? Thanks for any update.
  2. Hi, do DNAc boxes read resistance values even in standby? If yes, why?
  3. Yes, I got the Dani just for a ohm read, so I did not do the init process. Thanks for all the details and I will update this thread as I got more DNA mods.
  4. I tried different atoms: by-ka v8, sputnik, vapor giant M5, Eliteism and Iago by telli's mod. I do confirm DNA behaviour. Coils are read +0.04 on the Odin mini and +0.03 on the VTBox 250c. Aegis solo reads +0.01 and dani mini reads +0.01.
  5. Here you are the cvs file of one of the analysis. Analisi_termica25042022.csv
  6. I've an update on this topic. I went through a Case Analysis with a 75c and during the cooldown processes the amp on USB were solid 0. So i think this is a bug on the 250c or the process is different for the two boards and one has the possibility to set the USB recharge to 0 (75c), during Thermal Analysi, and one has not (250c) and they accounted this in the analysis calculation.
  7. Here i am. Had to find the time to do some tests. The Odin Mini 75c reads 0,040. The VTBox 250c reads 0.038. Before testing with the screwdriver i did set the internal resistence to 0. Apart from the screwdriver test, since you mentioned the wire I'm using is a suprema ratio ss316 28GA wire.
  8. Thanks, i'll go through it. Can you please point out where i did question the truthfulness of someone because i can't find it and i do pay attention to be polite.
  9. I will reset to defaults to get the NiFe30. I would just point out that Evolv would resolve the problem letting the user to set the TCR within the mod menus. I'm sure this has been asked/requested in the past multiple time. It's not a strange feature, it's quite common on every mod. I don't think suggesting would make any difference. I'm happy for Evolv that the Evolv's Director of support dealt with me. I don't remember to question the truthfulness of anyone here (please be more specific, maybe you confuse me with someone else).
  10. I did try almost everything and searched a lot. I posted here because i did finish ideas!
  11. I did all procedures before. I should have written it since the beginning.
  12. I did try and the ohm are stable even moving the atom around to check if there is some contact issue. I did set internal resistence with a dedicated 510 shorting tool. And I've updated everything to both boxes.
  13. Hi, i've some problems with two DNA mods (VTBox 250 and Odin Mini). I've a By-Ka v8 builded with 7 wraps of 28GA on 2.5 of SS316, legs in opposite directions. The steam-engine ohm value is 0.706. I tried on 3 non DNA boxes and they read one 0.73 (le petite box by vaponaute) and two 0.72 (aegis solo and dani mini). That's ok as precision and atom could affect the reading. On both DNA mods i get a 0.775 value which is quite away from what i do expect from a DNA. Any suggestion?
  14. I did already know how to change it through escribe. Thanks in any case for the time you took to answer
  15. Thank you for your answer. I do see your point but it leads to a sad scenario where DNA will become more marginal, and the process is accelerating. I don't know if today i would suggest a DNA to someone asking for a top notch chip for TC. The second after i suggest it i've to start: yes, but you have to connect to a computer and use a software to add up to date materials. You can't use a TCR. Manufacturer do screw things up and you have to calibrate internal box resistance and maybe thermal analysis. But you can use replay out of the box... maybe. I really would feel more confident to suggest a Dicodes (expensive and with one of the worst UI and UX ever created) which works like a charm. I would suggest an Aegis solo, really cheap and a great TC out of the box and it has a TCR. And I think chip and mods with great TC out of the box will add up. I like DNA but i just feel it was leading the vaping chip market and it is sliding by the side and slowly falling behind just to be confined to a community of geeks. Regarding costs and investments, if Evolv itself does not invest in their products why should users? Sorry if this sound rude, i do not mean to be rude just caring about a great chip.
  16. As a DNA user i would like avoiding Escribe. Am I stuck in Replay o VW? Stock preset wires are not the first choice when you pick a wire for TC, they were some years ago' probably. Today nife48, nife30 are some quite commons choices. But i can't use any of those as i've not the option to set a TCR, which is a common spec with vaping wires and a common feature of DNA competitors who delivers a great TC as well. Is there any chance Evolv will have a look in presets and TCR box input? As for this forum activity and SP update it seems the DNA movements is a bit on the silent side...
  17. I understand. I don't know if i agree. According to Evolv support it is taken in account. We can speculate but without any further info it's difficult to find out. What i think is worst is the total lack of any noticeable documentation. And i do understand that the fraction of users looking for that documentation do not worth to even produce it.
  18. If someone step on this thread. According to Evolv support those mA are taken into account for the calculation. So far so good.
  19. Hello, I've connected the box to Escribe, updated the firmware and then run the Case Analyzer. During every cooldown round the AMPs to the box were not 0. It fluctuates around 0 by some mAMP towards the positive side. This lead the temperature to raise and stabilize around 6/7 °C over the room temp. This seems to invalidate the Analysis as during the cooldown the box should be left free to cooldown towards room temp. Using the monitor and disabling USB recharge in Diagnostic allow the 0 AMP on USB and the box drift to the room temperature properly. Some details on setup: VTBOX 250c Escribe last stable (tried on linux and windows on two differente laptops) Used different USB cables
  20. Thanks to point me out to that videos. I already watched them. About that specific one it seems that the box for case analysis just go thoriugh some charge and cool down of the box. Why should i build an atom with a long wire? At this point having the atomizer on the box is marginal. I've a VTBox 250c. About the replay i just love it and I really think is a massive feature ;). Just saying that we should have a detailed manual of escribe even you could use it out of the box without any escribe interaction.
  21. Thanks for your answer. I do understand. That being said I think that's a big miss. Most of escribe users are advanced ones and are able to go through a comprehensive manual. Others will stick to replay. For example. I'm confronting with case analysis. How do I have to build the atom, which atom is suggested. What is an acceptable output from the test? How to verify it's being performed properly. If you dig around you find dozens of opinions and interpretation. Will go through others 10 videos to have 10 different opinions and to have to rewatch a video to access some infos that I would get to in 1 Min if those were on a pdf document.
  22. Hello, being new to DNA i found a bit frustrating relaying on scattered and generic how.-tos on internet to properly use Escribe. Is there an official and detailed documentation for Escribe functionalities and operations? Thanks in advance
