  1. I've tried all those things about 10 times already...and, no escribe doesn't recognize it at all. That's actually how I realized it went dead, because it was working fine and then all of a sudden a bubble came up on my screen saying USB device was disconnected. I think it's the chip, but who knows.
  2. Yes I had it plugged in the whole time (using the micro USB port) and the battery indicator showed it was full. However, I hadn't upgraded the firmware yet,Mao I don't know if it was completely full. Nonetheless, I was just about to push the "OK" button to upgrade it and noticed the screen was dead and I haven't been able to get it to work since.
  3. Well, I finally got my running and getting ready to install new firmware and my mod went dead...figures.
  4. So I finally got my HOTCIG today, and I was just about ready to download the new firmware and...it went dead. Are freaking kidding me???!! I didn't even put a tank and try to vape it yet, haven't even had it for 12 hours and the board dies on me??? So now what do I do? Can't see this being HOTCIG's fault....any advice is welcome. I'm so disappointed. I've waited almost a month to get this mod.
  5. This is exactly what I'm doing...and then the outcome. Sorry for the crap pictures...
  6. My MAC recognized the DNA 200 and in VB, it gives me the option to add the port, but when I run VB, it says "FATAL: No bootable medium found! system halted." and when I click the USB icon on the bottom the "Dimension Engineering Evolv DNA 200 USB" link is not in dark....I have no idea what I'm doing and it's so frustrating!
  7. That doesn't make sense. It would be no different than shipping a battery by itself, right?
  8. Where exactly did you go to purchase an extra battery enclosure? I can't seem to find what I am looking for...
  9. Are these EVOLV 510's available to the public now or in the future?
  10. Are those 1350mah cases going to be available to us, or is this just a custom box?
  11. I read in another post that you need to do a firmware upgrade on the Hotcigs. It seems that everyone is having battery issues before they do the upgrade. I am waiting on mine to get in the mail. Let me know if/when you figure things out.
  12. So, I'm confused, did you replace the 510 it came with? If so, do you have pictures?
  13. How has it been holding up? I am thinking about purchasing a HotCig, but don't know much about the company, so I'm a little apprehensive. I have been patiently waiting for the beta mod kits to be released, although, I have never built my own mod before. I am due for a new mod and really want the DNA 200, however, don't want to make an irrational decision. So, is the HotCig a "good" buy? In your opinion of course?
  14. I was thinking about buying one of those, because they were having a promo, but am not familiar with Hotcig and haven't heard anything about them. 1.) Other than the bad board, does it seem like a reliable build? 2.) How do the tanks look on it? Reason I'm asking is because it looks like the 510 protrudes a little bit, which gave me some concerns. 3.) what keeps the unit together? Magnets? Notches?
  15. When are these Tall Boys gonna be available on your website? I keep visiting your site, but haven't seen anything yet...please give an update. Thanks.
  16. Do you have these for purchase on your website yet? I looked, but I couldn't tell definitively.
  17. Like others have said, the box looks really nice, but why don't you just mill your own faceplate from aluminum, rather than relying on another provider? In my opinion, thaT would be simplifying it much more. EDIT: I just read your reply. My only other question is, is it safe to say these will only fit the lipo 3s 900mah batteries?
  18. They look pretty nice...how much are they gonna cost?
  19. Thanks usy219 and Gm111, I thought I remember reading there were on board fuses, but I have read/watched tutorials for the DNA 20/30/40 where they had soldered fuses onto the wires coming from the battery. Fortunately, that's one less thing to worry about.
  20. I am also a new modder, and have been getting great advice from this forum. The question I have that is a little ambiguous to me, is do I need to add any extra fuses onto the wires coming from the battery to the DNA board? If so, what is recommended?
  21. John, how will I know when these are ready? I live in Sandusky, Ohio (Cedar Point), so I will gladly drive to you to pick one of these up when the time comes!
  22. I think it looks great! The leather adds a different appeal you don't normally see in mods...and who doesn't love the smell of leather?,
  23. could i send the specs to a machine shop to have this made myself out of aluminum? I am asking in regards to the evolve beta version of the case itself?
