Running Plasma 6 desktop with the global menu and I cannot get anything to open from the menus (tools > apply service pack). Nothing happens. Not even any terminal output when launching from the command line. Tried disabling global menu temporarily, and I just get no menu bar at all in that case.

Do you anneal your wire or torch it? I've noticed as I've "cleaned" the coil multiple times the temp control may have become more accurate. I've gone from around 420F being a good vape to 405F. Granted, I have inadvertantly switched to a PG heavy liquid (not my usual preference) so that's probably a contributing factor as well, but the amount of heat I'm getting seems to be comparable.

I can't seem to find documentation on the process for properly measuring and profiling materials for TC. Does this documentation exist anywhere? Seems like something that would have been worth publishing....

The stealth vape curve seems to be working pretty well with the 425 setting. Just ran out of liquid and did not get burnt hit. Which is really all I care about. I may pick up some stealth vape wire just for kicks, but I can't really say that's strictly necessary. Thanks for taking the time.

Definitely closer, that's got me around 425F down from 485F
-
Awesome. I will give that a try and report back. Just to confirm that's for the z48 correct?
-
I guess it would be nice if someone could create an updated curve so that it reads correctly. Unfortunately it seems like there is not much interest and that kind of thing anymore.

Connections are tight, and does seem to read cold ohms pretty close (.25 vs .23). Even tried the .00400 that zivipf lists as the TCR. Wicking well too. It's not kicking out of TC mode either, I just have to have it cranked way up to get anything decent out of it. Currently at 485F. I even gave the screws & holes a good cleaning before putting the build in.

Just got this stuff in, running the stream engine NiFE52 profile as folks on the forum have instructed and it barely vapes cranked up to 450F. What gives?

For some reason my Vapedroid (DNA75) doesn't display the charge current on the charging screen. I've had other DNA devices that I've configured the same way as I have this one configured, all of which do properly display the USB charge current. This one just doesn't. Ideas? It seems like such a simple thing, but it's really nice knowing the current charge current.

Having to run DNA75 ~100F hotter than I should

I have noticed that the TC has gotten more stable as the coil "breaks in" Can you link me to that post on preparing the SS? Thanks. -

Some findings to report: Ran all my analyzers, shorted the 510 as best as could with what materials I had (some stranded silver wire balled up and jammed in the 510, used lowest resistance measured). After all that, I've achieved basically the same behavior as the Dicodes reference. This concludes another noob post. Here are the results. Mod: MarkBugs Amulet DNA75 Eliquid: 80% VG Atty: Gem 2 (not-really-cloud-bro rta) Coil: 28g GeekVape 316L, 7 wraps, 2mm ID, 1mm±0.1 spaced wrapps amulet.ecig -

Tried 0.005 and I get hardly any vapor now and no warmth at all -

What materials are your 510 made from? I've got SS threads and a silver plated positive. I'll give the lower values a try though to test the theory. -

Relatively new stabwood box, so I don't think anyone's going to have values to share. It's MarkBugs wood box. -

Not really. I need to find a slug. I "tested" it with a screwdriver. So probably wildly inaccurate. Didn't have any value out of the box though. -

I guess it's also important to note that I'm running at 15 watts. EDIT: I threw an extra wrap on and I'm down maybe 5 degrees on the setting that is "satisfying." At the end of the day I can achieve the vape I like, so it really doesn't matter. Numbers are stupid anyway. It just bugs me that I'm 60° away from the limit. -

I guess that makes sense. I didn't think about the different averaging that could be going on between the mods. I can try adding maybe one more wrap, as that's about all that will fit in the build deck. What SS profile are you running? -

Either way, none of those factors shouldn't matter since I'm taking the same atty and screwing it onto either mod. Net result is the same wattage, but vastly different temperatures. -

Basically I've tried a few different wires (Ti1, NiFe30, and 316L), all of which must be pushed over 500F, upwards of 550. Honestly, this has always been my complaint about DNA chips; needing to run them so close to the temp limit. I've tried various SS316L TCR profiles (Jaquith, SteamEngine, default). For the NiFe30 I am using SE's Dicodes wire (which is the wire I have). For reference I am running a NiFe30 build on a Dani Box (Dicodes wire on Dicodes mod) and it behaves as I believe it should. Warm, delicious, satisfying vape at 450. Essentially what I'm getting on the DNA at 545. SS behaves the same way. What gives? I've run the case analyzer, which has helped quite a bit with weird resistance values I was getting (cold ohms were far lower than live ohms or even the initial reading [which was the refinement not being calibrated to the case, which is now fixed]). So really what my question is... where can I find a CSV for NiFe30 or SS (SS preferred) that will give me similar results to the Dicodes TC? Thanks. -
