    yeah, im on a windows all in one but i just tried connecting a different device to see if a second dna device thats not having charging issues would connect & its giving me the same prompt that nothing is connected so im going to grab my old laptop which i used to do all my escribe stuff on as i have never tried using escribe with the current computer im on but my laptop is not with me right now so when i get a chance later today ill try conneting it & i'll let you know what i see on device monitor.

    thats another part of the problem...while my computer does recognize the device when plugged in & also charges...escribe is not recognizing the device...it says nothing is connected when i click "connect & download settings" so it wont let me go into device moniter thats what i was initially try to do to figure out why its not charging above 1Amp but i cant even do that now sadly.

    right, im not expecting 2amp on the dot charging, but 2 other dna250 devices are getting 1.5ish amps while charging even at 75% & so did the device in question until today, tried multiple wires & blocks comparing the other devices & they have no problem getting above 1amp charging & last night i know device in question did get above 1amp charging also escribe wont update since cannot connect to remote server but that shouldn't be a problem except for others trying to update or grab escribe software

    Yeah, so the initial download worked so i have the software now..havn't tried updating the software yet but just today my dna250 stopped 2A charging so thats why im trying to figure out whats going on & when i just tried plugging in my device, escribe isn't reading it but the device charges at .59amps & my computer recognizes a device is connected

    so i guess even if i find the installer on my backup external HD, i wont be able to just update it through the software?

    Anyone having issues downloading escribe from their website? i have tried 3 browsers with private tabs, serveral different links provided from the forums...starting to think its not on my side? welp

    I bent the conact up a decent amount, couldnt quite fit anything in underneath yet but i wanna test it out first a few times and see if it is indeed just a battery contact issue, everything else doesnt make much sense besides not having a good connection, ill try and see maybe i might get a buddy to find something better to solder to it but for the price i cant believe what shitty contacts they use..that spring contact seems much better! What mod did you do that in? Ill have to see if a friend can solder something like that together and make it fit, but for now ill see if i get better battery life with the better bent contacts and update.

    Ya i guess ill try that, id have to find some pretty firm rubber foam though, not quite sure where or from what i could find that from and it would have to be a pretty small piece since there isnt much room like your pictures shows, it looks kinda like it does in the picture but i think it'll be a bit tough. Couldn't i use a thin piece of business card folded a few times and shoved underneath to try to make a more solid connection?

    So sorry this is gunna be a long post..i have been talking to GingerVape and hoping you guys can give me some insight on how i should go about a answering them & if my logic is sound as well. Here is a snippet of part of the conversation after I provided them with the graphs ive posted above and explained the flaking of the gold plating which they said it should still work regardless. Their response.. Got a.. in my view pretty dismissive/rude responce back but anyways, I am still getting throttling after buying a set of brand new Sonys VTC5A. Instead of 55% percent I get to 45% percent before again, it flashes the battery & throttles the power down. So my understanding is if im STILL getting throttling with a brand new 30amp battery there is obviously some connection problem somewhere & running a battery analyzer wont really fix this problem or do me much good because sure i wont get a flashing battery or throttle power anymore but my vape time is going to get cut at 45% with sony vtc5 30amp batteries or 50% battery with samsung 25rs, just like it is now but it will just show me a 0% battery quicker because the battery analyzer was done with this connection problem. Plus i dont think i should have to run battery anazlyer just to get my battery percentage down past 45%. im not sure if this will address the real problem and just give me a work around to make it seem like its working normally. Ive never had to do this with my other 167 chips & im not sure if im correct but if theyre not willing to explain it to me, was hoping the community might be able to help explain it to me better or if im not grasping something here.

    aha ya it was expensive as hell but i loved it when i first saw it, doesnt get as much use as it used though but once in a while ill take it out

    Well i did buy the mod used so it wasnt in my possession since the beggining and i believe the previous owner didnt take care of his mods to the extent that i do, but yes i agree..even if i do take care of it once replaced, its likely to have the same issue if replaced with the same contacts..kind of a shame since boxer mods are pretty good quaility but they're only as good as their weakest link Well guess ill wait to hear back from boxer..at least mines explainable guess alot of the therion problens are still not.

    ya i think your right, waiting to hear back from boxer...again. my mod just came back from them too & was still under warranty at that time, now its not so im not quite sure whats going to happen now. guess i'll see if they cover it, i dont mind paying but still want to see if they'll cover it since it went out of warranty while it was in their hands.

    Ill have to re create this and take 2 snips because there is no scale on the sides showing what level it is sagging to. So ill have to point to it with my mouse to show the level at rest & under fire. But i only get this problem with this device, i could pop those batteries out and put it in my therion with the same atty and continue to vape without any sag or throttling of power. Also have tried with 4 different sets of 25r's so i dont think the batteries are the issue..3 sets of batteries are brand new as well.

    im having similar issues with a boxer dna167 bought used and the screen crapped out, just got it back from boxer and then these issues arose once i started using it..i never tested with the screen broken so im assuming the mod came with this problem just didnt notice it because screen not working was the primary issue. my mod works totally fine with fresh charged batteries but once i hit about 55%-60% battery, my mod starts throttling power and sometimes the battery flashes, when I change the soft cell cutoff to 2.7, instead of throttling the mod will just cut power and flash "check battery" instead. I'll include a graph here just for comparisons sake, i have a therion 167 as well, i dont use it a lot, maybe less than 10 hours use but have had it for 2-3 months (won in a waffle), seems like a lot of people are having problems with them...thats unfortunate since it is such a stellar looking mod! anyways, here's a device monitor snip at around 55% battery life...

    **another update after hitting it a few times more i couldnt get below 54% before i would get check battery here's a little bit more info about troubleshooting i did. when i left the device in boxers default settings, the device would *sometimes* flash the battery bar but not always but it would always throttle my power from 90 to 60 or so i tried changing the soft cell cutoff to 2.7 i read somewhere in the forums, and instead of throttling power or flashing the battery symbol, it would just cut power & display "check battery" i just set it back to Boxers default settings for now and took this snip, hopefully you guys can make more sense of what the device is doing. I seen there was another topic with a guy with a therion having check battery issues, havn't gotten a chance to read it yet but i will soon here.

    So an update, read through your topic and did some sesrching but couldnt find much to help but i was thinking that the gold plating shouldn't effect the conductivity by a night and day difference in terms of conductivity. I wont be able to get it on the device monitor for a few hours but i tried bending the contact a bit more just in case, so far it seems to have worked, ive gotten down to 54% so far so to the eye the contacts looked fine but i guess maybe it was flattened enough to not make a good enough connection...ill keep using it and update you with whether bending it fixed it for good..i did kinda ruin more of gold plating though so i hope that doesnt become an issue as well..

    And yes they are that thin sheet metal type of contact you can bend

    Oh ya i noticed this yesterday but i forgot to mention the contacts are still bent fine but on botton right side, that contact..the gold plating has cracked and theres a small chunk of gold plating missing...the bend seems to be ok looks even with the other one and they both hold the battery in place pretty solid but would that be my issue? I figured it should still have pretty good conductivity as long as the bends are ok I dont even know how that happened

    Ive had tons of mods vape past 60% with lower builds dna's & chinese chips..my therion is past 50% with a 0.1 @ 115 watts drawing 33amps off 25rs not flashing battery symbol or throttling power...so thats how/why it seems not normal...maybe just to make sure it clear its dual 18650 boxer dna250/167 & same with my therion.

    Hey guys so i recently bought a mod used with a broken screen, luckily gingervapes had a 6 month month policy so i sent it in & it got fixed and sent back. I didnt use it for a few days then i put my rdta on it with fresh charged 25r's. 0.14 ohm set at 90watts Working fine up untill I now noticed once i got to 60% battery, the battery symbol would flash and i was getting throttled power (50-60 watts) Tried a new set of batteries, works fine but again once i get to 60% throttled power. Went into escribe and the cell 1 & 2 were even 4.2 (tried with fresh batts) any idea whats going on? Sad i just got it back from repairs & its not working again now.
