  1. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong - this is my interpretation... A TCR is a linear approximation, whereas a csv is a set of points on a curve - so I'd assume that the csv is a better option as it better represents the change in resistance due to temperature change I also thought that Ni200 was a pretty linear correlation - I'm pretty certain its more linear than most materials anyway
  2. 1. I only got mine yesterday - I've read about quite a few people "fixing" theirs, and some of them breaking their screen in the process, so I guess it depends how confident you are... I haven't looked at mine yet - and my mod came from their second manufacturing run, so I'm not sure if the issue is still there or whether it was resolved. My supplier explained that the delay on my reuleaux being shipped was due to an issue in manufacturing with the screen. I'd be interested to know if this was resolved after the initial problem 2. mod resistance I left alone (0.003 default from the manufacturer) - this seems to be ok based on what I've read, but I'd be interested in any results anyone posts. I think the level of resistance we're dealing with is so low that even with some % variation between mods it won't make much difference. Battery watt-hours I hit the calculator button, click yes for knowing the voltage insert the mAh value (mine was 2500) and leave voltage at 11.1. The calculator will tell you the watt hours value and offer to use this. I haven't done the discharge test yet... Ambient temperature - I haven't touched this yet 3. I imagine there will be some variance, but whether this will be enough to notice - I'm not so sure... 4. I only just got this new toy so not gonna speculate on what the next one will be ...
  3. I was looking in the manual for a similar answer only yesterday when my first DNA 200 device arrived! It took hours to get a full charge on three Samsung 25Rs and that was only starting from about 45% I think I'll go with charging from the wall - especially now I've seen that the chip will handle it appropriately - thanks for the answer Jaquith
  4. While I'm sure its possible to get a windows 7 IOS off the net I'm not sure you'll get a legitimate copy.... but that's as far as I can go with that part of the discussion... In terms of installation from a USB drive, yes you can. You use the same method listed on the MS link under the section "perform a clean installation using a USB or DVD" If you were to use the Windows 10 download, you wouldn't be able to activate however you would be able to get your device set up and save your config files outside the VM.
  5. this may be useful - but you'll probably need to do this from a windows machine! https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
  6. You'll need a windows install disc - you can probably get away with a trial version for your purposes... Install Virtualbox for your distribution - which distro/version are you using? You'll find some help here: https://www.virtualbox.org/ Then set up a VM and install windows to it. You'll have to wade through the documentation at https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html or ask if you have a specific question. You'll need to enable USB from the host (your Linux computer) for the guest (the windows install)... See http://www.htpcbeginner.com/access-usb-drive-in-virtualbox-guest-os/ Once you have that installed you can install eScribe and hopefully you'll be good to go. Good luck
