  1. Beside spammers, they are dumb to think they will earn some viewers from here. Only"profit" i see they have, may be some benefit related to alexa , and even that... I work also with advertising online for some years, and i know that is the most wrong way to advertise anything. You "burn" both your name and the product Anyway, the previous idea of registration thru Escribe seems good
  2. You're right - too much variables... But we never know - Some day we may get there About "the trend", now i realize that in the last days i've been using the watts more wisely, instead of just put 150w "because the temp control will solve it" It's a bit like having speed limiter in a car set to 50 and then always be with foot down because the limiter will take care of that. We surely can do it, but what for?
  3. Well... I'm not a technician or a programmer, but theoretically, the chip could detect an unexpected too fast or too slow rise of resistance for the applied voltage and enter in "safe mode", no? That way we could minimize a huge dry hit That could require a more sophisticated chip and more programming... One feature that i think could be achieved just by firmware, could be some safety regarding to sudden resistance changes while voltage is applied, to prevent giving more volts than required. I Had some bad dry hits already because of that. Once that all was well cleaned (510 and tank) did not happened again
  4. I am sure many people thought: "Is the Device bad, or is just something wrong with my builds/wire/tanks, etc..." I am sure it is a complex task, and maybe some tests may be even inside the software, but could there be an easy "1 button push" test that would scan all the device, maybe with some requirements or questions to the user that could double check the board / box for us to be more assured that everything is as it was supposed to be? That would be also useful to you, as it could get some information from the board to trouble check before equipments are returned. I know it is easier to write this lines than to write all the complex system that would do a thing like that, but i think it could be an idea to take note. The big advantage here is that we may be limited by the hardware (board, sensors, internal memory, etc) but Escribe is limitless (between some logical limits) Congratulations on this great achievement - Keep going! - We, the users, appreciate that
  5. I think that it would be interesting if we were able to turn our DNA's into adjustable "Mech Mods" when wanted... The ability to choose voltage mode may be easy to apply and i suspect would pleasure many people. What you say? All the safety features would be running in the background, but we would be able to choose how much volts to apply (in a secure scale) With some wires that would result in a "analog" temperature control
  6. You can update without problem. If something goes wrong, you can always go back to previous one. I did that and already went to the newest one again Mine is VaporShark , but i think every DNA200 is the same thing regarding to that.
  7. I had this Idea! Why not create a section where we can share our profiles? After all, a DNA 200 is a DNA200 and i believe we can benefit from that share - both in knowledge and fine tuning for tanks and drippers many of us have. We will also be sharing experiences In this first post i will put how i think will be the most complete and correct way to share both files and information: VaporShark DNA200 - Plume Veil Dual Ni200 coil - Contact coils - Many wraps (cant count now) 0.13ohm 100W - 350F (Did add Image for Plume Veil Ni200 - Not sure if goes with profile - hope so) -=Please double check the settings before use any profile!!!=- My suggestion is to share when you are having a great vaping experience with the settings. Let's see how it goes? Feel free to add suggestions. I have the feeling this may become a good topic PlumeVeilNi200.ecigpr
  8. cloudycosmos - I am having better results with Jaquith V7, but sometimes things go wrong. My best results right now are with spaced coils. In my TFV4 (rebuildable Single coil) it cannot read temperature (at least with SS - will try with Ti1) I have a build in Plume Veil (Ni200 - Dual coil 0.13ohm) and more than 350F seems too much - Is that normal? wcholles - Right now Ti1 is going well, but mostly with SweetSpot Ti wire 0.5mm csv (even if my Ti is not 0.5) If i put zivipf TCR it will be not ok. My main point here is discover if i have any problem with this unit or not, because now it is easier to swap for another one than in a month or so. If it is only some glitch with tanks, builds, or firmware, i can live with that for a while till get solution Will leave profiles i'm using here. They are prepared for my taste in that tanks, but you can adjust for other without problem. Please let me know how they work on your dna'sGoblinMiniTi.ecigpr SubtankSScoilJaquith.ecigpr
  9. Well - Some updates: I did put previous firmware back and did spaced coils. Results seems more consistent. What are the main differences to new firmware? (2015-09-30) However i see now that many times while changing tanks there's no question if it is new or same coil... I will get there...
  10. I am a totally newbie to this "DNA thing" Bought a VS DNA200 few days ago, and after downloading Escribe, seeing Phil's DNA movie series and read a lot in this great forum (and some other places, also) , i started to collect and build my 8 profiles in order to be able to use the device in the most better way. After that initial learning and setting, things would go smooth! At least that was what i thought... Problems started with Titanium (I use Zivipf's Ti1 26AWG) In my IPV4 it is easy, and i get a result i expect. In VS, sometimes it is a weak vapor, i adjust a bit the temperature, and later it is tasting bad (burnt) I tried steam engine csv for Ti1, I tried TCR given by Zivipf for that wire, and it only went a bit better lowering the TCR a bit - but then i get not always the same results... Annoying Also the same thing for SS316L. I use V4a from Zivipf, and did try the tcr given by him. Too hot and burn taste even at 300F. Besides that, in device monitor i see no temperature (only the set one) when pressing firing button. That only happens when using SS316L Using a Ni200 pre-made coil in Zephirus, was giving great flavor and vapor production, but even in Ni200, it is not always the same - Is that the way it is supposed to be? I am using contact coils in Ti and SS - Will try to do some spaced ones to see if something changes. Ni200 coils in Zephyrus are premade and are spaced. I just want to be sure that i do not have a faulty board or something like that. To finish, even with low watts, i feel that battery is going pretty fast In regular use, i would go by 2 sets of bateries in my IPV4 in one day. With VS, i am always looking for a microusb to connect it... It is subjective, i know, so i will monitor it a bit more in order to reach some numbers. I did read somewhere that the 900mah pack, as it is 3 cells it is equivalent to 900mah x 3? If so, it is supposed to last like 2 18650, no? It charges really quick at 2A, but doing it several times a day will not kill this battery fast? Another question: - Is firmware form DNA 200 board directly connected to Escribe version? Only after installing V1.0.35.2, i got firmware upgrade for VS... Can be that firmware that are causing the issues? Can i install previous firmware without problem? (I think i saw something like that in Phil's videos) Could it be a good idea to post here my profiles for those who know check if there is something wrong with them? I wanna be sure if there is any problem with it, as i will be next week with the person who sold it to me, and if there is anything wrong, i am sure he will change it for me. Thanks
  11. I understand and agree with most. I just did not wanted to have that feature, and having a QI base, not using it. What i find quite strange is that reaction (and some clicks are heard inside the VS box) Will not try again, anyway, as i do not want to damage QI base or DNA 200. Zip Charging is very fast, so when needed, i just plug it - no problem Thanks for the answer Jaquith. I am very new to this DNA thing, so a lot to learn about it
  12. Right. It has Zip Charging and when i use my 2A tablet's charger, it charges amazingly fast. About QI charging, what is strange is that somehow the charger reacts to the VS presence... Maybe something on the board does that reaction. For sure that would be a great feature to have from factory Thanks for the answers
  13. Hi It was told to me that VS DNA200 had included QI charging capability. I Have a wireless charger (Samsung) and when i put VS over it, leds start to blink red, yellow, green, but i do not see anything happening in VS. Could it be that it is something yet to be enabled in firmware? Thanks
