thanks.  yeah im aware if the resistance isnt that much different it wont ask, but this was def not the case.  the atty that was removed was .58ohms and the new coil was .29ohms.... so it was half of the original coil.  shouldnt there have been a new coil warning in this case?

again its not an issue.  i just want to understand why.

I think you are looking at it backwards...if there is a slight difference, the board will inquire if it is a new coil.. but with enough of a difference, 50% in this case, the board knows that it is probably a new coil & should use the newly read resistance value...

but im still not sure about the new coil screen.  i did an atty change last night and the new atty was half the resistance of the first.  the chip didnt ask if it was a new coil.  it simply adjusted the cold coil resistance and kept it there.  so that is working.  just didnt ask about the coil.  of which is not a big deal.  ive read some threads on other forums saying the DNA75 just doesnt prompt the new coil screen as often as it should.  and that the newer chips are all improved in that regard.

If there is enough of a difference in the different coil's ohms, then the board knows that it is probably not a new coil, so  doesn't ask...IIRC, the threshold adjustment for that can be set in Escribe on the Mod tab, in the Safety tab...'Ohm Lock Range'

I contacted Lost Vape too and they only replied to me a few days ago to say, and I quote, "Hi there, thanks for your information. Hope our repair center "evolv" can help you out".

Since the problem with the Paranormal's is widely due to LV using a loctite compound on the threads on the 510 connector, the chances are very high that you will receive another with the same issues...contact Evolv & let them guide you!

  4. On all my 75's & 75C's, they have a solid piece of wire on both the positive & negative, with the exception of the mods that transfer the ground through the metal case. If you don't have a wire from the battery tube to the board, check all your board mount screws are tight as well...have seen that  problem before as well...just a thought...

  5. Same thing applies..you might want to consider replacing that with a solid piece of wire. There shouldn't be any type of interruption of the circuit from the battery to the board. The positive wire would be even more so because the board is going to be make contact with ground through the mount screws & the metal case...

  6. Quick question...is this the same mod that you posted about in another thread ( on the negative wire there is a plate that has a shrink tube on it then the wire at the other end and goes to the board)...if so, then you might want to consider replacing that wire with a solid piece of wire...just a thought!!!

    Hi Guys,

Also the battery are parallel in this mod, is there any option that I could see thru software what is the status of each of them ?

No, in a parallel configuration the board sees them as one cell
