franticseven Posted yesterday at 09:01 AM Report Posted yesterday at 09:01 AM Ok, so using a bogan Odin 250C for a while now with a Steamcrave Ragnor, Used the same stable build in Ragnors for several years- N80 parallel claptons, 26g/32g 6.5 t x 4mm i/d at 60w. A few posts down there is a thread ' 'Temp protect' when not in TC' I'm getting that same mesage and the mod keeps asking to confirm resistance the new/old coil coming out of standby or with fresh cells. Occasionally (unintentionally) I 'yes' the changes- get a crap vape but the mod won't reset even if the atty and cells are removed. I've chopped and changed between Kanthal at 60w and and Watts boost at 55w to get a decent vape. Something is unstable, Escribe reads cold ohms between 0.308 and 0.36* , live ohms as 0.263, analyzer reads 0.306-0.307 ?? I've manually set the resistance as per device monitor and locked in 0.263.. Thought it may have been a pair of old cells because one set of 21700s triggered this more often..new cells purchased. I've stripped the atomizer and had the deck in the ultrasonic, used new deck screws, cleaned out the 510 with cotton buds & IPA ...I've re-re-re-made coils, I even made a new 510 insulator from PEEK on my lathe because the pin sat further in than the one on my other Odin/Ragnor combo...no change. Other mod/atty works fine even when (to my shame) the coils are crusty and my Sucker Punch clone tastes like **** Appeared to be ok for a while but it's started again. tbh its doing my head in! Samples from Ecigstats, curernt first.
Wayneo Posted yesterday at 10:33 AM Report Posted yesterday at 10:33 AM Does this happen with other attys or only this one?
franticseven Posted yesterday at 01:52 PM Author Report Posted yesterday at 01:52 PM I've swapped the Ragnars over on both Odins, happens on the tbe one mod with both. Started with the other atty, swapped them over....stayed like that. I keep the slobbery all day custard on the combo that doesn't play up. Vaguely remember that the V1 aromamizers used to throw a wobble with my DNA200s.

Sounds like positive pin is not making a good connection on the mod. Check if the mod 510 still can depress and spring back. Or even try an atty with a longer connection. 5 hours ago, franticseven said: Occasionally (unintentionally) I 'yes' the changes- 9 times out of 10 you should be answering yes, that's what your mod reads right now. 5 hours ago, franticseven said: I've manually set the resistance as per device monitor and locked in 0.263.. 9 times out of 10 you should not do this. It does nothing in power/watts mode. Every time you push that fire button your mod reads the current resistance.

As per first post the atty pin wasn't protruding as much so I made a new insulator so that it was the same as the other. Might be that, it's stiff. 9 times out of 10 you should be answering yes, that's what your mod reads right now. err nope, device monitor shows firing res as 0.26, cold as 0.36. 'yes' just doesn't create any vapour, the smart bit of the chip says... I don't think so. 9 times out of 10 you should not do this. It does nothing in power/watts mode. Every time you push that fire button your mod reads the current resistance. well seems to work.. been out all day by the side of a lake and not one yes/no new coil or 'temp control' error 1
