Vapors Tongue Posted November 6 Report Posted November 6 i have two DNA60C Stubby 21's. now the black one is on the latest firmware and i've had to revert the other one to the previous firmware because if i update to the latest firmware it auto locks even if i select it not to auto lock in Escribe. the other device is completely fine on the latest firmware. also both stubby's don't show the time on the lock screen even when i add it via the theme builder.
James Bellinger Posted November 7 Report Posted November 7 Would you send me your .ecig file for that device so I can take a look? Thanks!
Frank65 Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 Hello , same problem of forced auto locking here on a Sentinel dna60c. Ecig attached. Thanks for you attention 00041.ecig
James Posted November 21 Report Posted November 21 Would you be willing to try an experimental firmware? It may have other bugs, but I'd be curious to know whether it fixes this problem for you. You should be able to apply the attached firmware by downloading it, going to Tools -> Apply Service Pack and clicking File. Then, browse to the file and select it. (It also fixes a startup glitch where it would fade the screen brightness in before the screen had been painted.) Thanks! God bless. James [attached file deleted -- see later in the thread for a newer version]
Frank65 Posted November 21 Report Posted November 21 Dear James Thanks for your effort. First test on your experimental firmware seems to solve the problem , before autolocked was engaged randomly after 1-10 minutes , now after one hour mod it's still unlocked ->good ! You say "it may have other bugs" , yes you're right now some fields on theme are not visible anymore (example : atomizer temperature on main screen , reverting to last stable fw it's visible again) .-> please check This after around an hour of testing. Thanks and Regards !
James Posted November 21 Report Posted November 21 Thanks @Frank65. I will investigate that on Monday. Despite not showing, is it still temperature-controlling properly for you? (If so, that'd mean it's a bug in the graphics code.) Are you able to see/set your temperature setting correctly in Device Monitor? Have a good weekend! God bless. James
Frank65 Posted November 21 Report Posted November 21 Hello Yes TC is working correctly. Also Temperature is showed correctly if no condition is used , I've tested this in some themes with same results . Probably the problem would replicate in another fields with complex showing\hiding conditions. have a nice weekend !
stephanedegee Posted November 21 Report Posted November 21 Hello, despite setting my lockout time to 60 minutes, I found the lockouts were occurring too frequently and for too short a time. So I just changed the automatic lockout setting on two identical DNA60C devices, and one of them is still locking unexpectedly. What could be causing this? I've resent the settings several times, but nothing changes. I also sometimes lose profile 8, which I programmed for SS316L. I checked the profiles on the box, and there are only 7 left. 😞 Thank you in advance for your help
Frank65 Posted November 22 Report Posted November 22 @stephanedegee hello did you try to upload experimental software James posted above ? That solved for me the autolock bug For the missing profile , check in escribe "Hide this profile" box in unchecked Regards 1
stephanedegee Posted November 22 Report Posted November 22 @Frank65 Hello, with the experimental version I also have the temperature display problem since I'm working in TC mode. I don't know which version was installed, so I reinstalled version 84 and we'll see, but I'm getting the temperature display again. Regarding the disappearing profile, the box isn't checked, and in fact, the profile appears and then disappears intermittently when I'm using the box, and I have to reset the settings with escribe. Thank you for your feedback. Best regards.

stephanedegee Posted Sunday at 08:37 AM Report Posted Sunday at 08:37 AM (edited) To get rid of the automatic locking problem, I had to revert to version SP75. Edited Sunday at 08:40 AM by stephanedegee
James Posted Monday at 09:46 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:46 PM I've found the bug that causes conditions to be incorrect on that DNA 60 Color test firmware. I've attached a new test version. Give it a try, and see how it works for you! Thanks! God bless. James 1_1_SP137_INT.sw-service 1
Vapors Tongue Posted Tuesday at 08:19 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 08:19 AM i don't think this is normal but after i loaded the new firmware it fixed the missing battery percentage and my personal fire picture that went missing on the other firmware. but i still don't get the time on the lock-screen. plus everytime i try to upload a theme or reapply the theme it doesn't get halfway until it goes back to the main firring screen , like it doesn't load completely. but it doesn't autollock now

James Posted Tuesday at 02:53 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 02:53 PM @Vapors Tongue: The time on the lock screen.... The DNA 60 Color doesn't have a real-time clock, so any clock would definitely have been an estimate from the CPU. I hadn't remembered supporting that, but maybe I did. How accurate did you find the clock to be? What Service Pack did it last work in? Thanks! 1
