SirAdamFrank
Hello! I had a problem with the mod on the DNA 250 board (LV Paranormal 166). The board starts to reduce power after 80% battery charge. Is there a solution to this or is it supposed to be like this? Just after 50% it seems that there is no power at all.
BillW50
Very common problem among high wattage vapers. Either one or both batteries can't supply enough current for the dialed in wattage. Thus the board only allows the wattage that the batteries are capable of.
SirAdamFrank
And what kind of batteries (according to the characteristics) do I need to make everything work fine? Just now I'm using SONY VTC6
dwcraig1
Just how many watts are you vaping at?

BillW50
Mooch rates SONY VTC6 cells at 15A, not Sony's 30A rating. Thus they are good for about 45 watts each. So two of them, that is 90 watts. If they have been recharged many times and/or are years old, of course then even less than 45 watts each. https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/threads/bench-retest-results-sony-vtc6-15a-3000mah-18650…a-fantastic-15a-20a-battery.846895/

You're looking for 25A or better. https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/blog-entry/list-of-battery-tests.7436/
dwcraig1
Here is my DNA250C with two 18650 Samsung 20S cells @ 67%, 3.8 volts per cell standing at start, firing at 120 watts. Cell Soft Cutoff is set at 2.75 volts so no throttling should occur till cell voltage drops below that. Battery sled contacts are clean. Here throttling would start at voltage drop of 5.5 volts and it's only dropping to 6.57 volts.
