goinclubbin
It's just as the title says. when I install Tempered NI200 28 gauge. It reads it as kanthal and doesn't give me temperature protect Any suggestions? Thanks
VapingBad
No real answers, just suggestions while you wait for an answer.Try it on a DNA40/25 to see if that's the same. Fire it up a few times letting it cool to see if refinement mode catches it. This happened to me a few times in the first week or two with the DNA40 and was always a connection problem. VapingBad
Glad you got it sorted, strangely I had one on my DNA40s drop out of temp mode about an hour after I posted, that was caused by a poor battery connection.

retird
Did you run Atomizer Analyzer? What was the results?
VapingBad
You restart form EScribe Tools menu, these problems are almost always connectivity or less often poor battery connection.
Bern18462
Idk what that is .... And the ohms are always at 0 ...
Bern18462
Everything is soldered solid but then again I didn attach the board to box with the bolt location ..... Is that a thing I should do?
VapingBad
If the ohms are a 0 then you have a short, if I were you I would try another atomiser.
Bern18462
I did that and both are the same ... The lock is off for the ohms and it still fires the coil but with no ohms on screen..

John
Has your DNA 200 mod recognized other coils properly? That certainly looks properly built.
Bern18462
No never recognize it I have to change it manually and still I put it to 320° and it barley smokes
Bern18462
On the atomizer analyzer it says kanthal ... But I have ni200 in there
VapingBad
the atomizer analyzer has both kanthal and nickel, you can tell it has picked up nickel by the temp showing as the last of the 3 fields on the dna screen.
Bern18462
It don't even ask if I change atomizers I changed 3 different ones so its probably a screw up on my side idk ... And I can go to 600° in temp mode and barly any vapor
VapingBad
It wont ask if the resistances are close to each other, 25% is the default value it can be changed in the Mod tab - Thermal - Ohm Lock Range
Bern18462
I put it to 5% and went from a .06 build to a .64 amddidn ask .. Am I just messing up on something .... Does the board NEED to be grounded with the 3 1.7 mm bolts?
VapingBad
I think the grounding has to be very good with these and I would think a poor contact with common ground or a dry solder joint would give you problems like you describe.
Bern18462
So me not having it bolded in may cause these problems? I'll double check solders and make a different box
