Kyle98750
Is is possible to charge my device at a higher current than 0.5A? I know that USB 3.0 supports 1A charging but I don't know how to enable it, or even if I can. Any advice?
valld
Check your PC specifications, it should include the maximum current the USB 3 port can provide.
KTMRider
The driver doesn't seem to support more than 500ma. Both 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports on my computer can handle more than 1a (1.5a?) but only 500ma with my DNA200's.
lamonjullo
At least yours is consistent. Mine chooses whatever it likes when I plug it in, sometimes it's .5A and other times it'll go the full 1A. It's a macbook, so I figured the easy answer would be if it was plugged into power vs. battery power - this unfortunately was not the answer. alistairs
If I'm understanding John in the thread linked below, if the device sees data lines it will limit the charge current. That is also what I've observed, less than 500 mA when connected to a USB 3.0 port, up to 1A when connected to a wall wart.https://forum.evolvapor.com/topic/68472-topic/
Kyle98750
Alright, another random question out of curiosity, is it OK to leave the battery charging overnight. Does the board cut off power to the battery when all cells are at 4.2 volts?

The driver of any USB device needs to tell the circuit to put out more power (1a).
