Bern18462
I built 2 different boxes thinking it was my box that was making temp mode not work on my first box so I put everything into the new box and mounded it with the bolts ... So now the temp on screen goes up like before and still no vape .... I'm out of ideas... I tried different rda rta tanks pre built nickel coils and nothing still shows temp protected on screen once it his target temp but nothing... And help would be great I'm about to give up or throw this thing across the room ... Lol just messing ha ha I wouldn't do that..
John
If you turn temperature control off, does it work normally? You can fire nickel coils with temp mode off too. If so, can you post a graph of the live ohms from device monitor?
Bern18462
Yes I can fire any coil and works awesome with kanthal ... I can switch to a nickel build and it doesn't switch to temp mode automatically .... Is the graph in the software?
John
Yes, go to device monitor, and then select the check box next to "live ohms"
Bern18462
So I should fire nickel coils on normal mode and while I'm firing it take a picture of the graph Right .. Is what u want ?
John
Yep. Graph the live resistance. That way we can see what's going on.

CongoRocksYou
I have been having the same issue all day on a custom mod I just received today and I am livid . Essentially the data is showing a spike instantly to temp and an instant voltage drop with almost no vapor ..
Bern18462
Yup same thing here... I'm trying to find out how to post a picture of my graph on here .... What rda or whatever are you running maybe it's the material of the rda that's its made of idk...
Bern18462
What mod do you have ? Pictures?

CongoRocksYou
What mod are you using ? I don't think it's an rda it's either a defect in the board itself or a 510 issue for me "we think " it's going back to the modder and hope for the best I think it's beyond changing attys or settings man. The only mod I have had that's behaved this poorly is a DNA 40 clone I used once and hates it I knew right away something was wrong . Basically on the data the temp is spiking almost instantly to temp it's supposed to be a smooth gradual arcing increase ..
retird
Here is a graph showing 400F@25 watts with pre-heat set to 50 watts and punch set to 5 using the reference device with an Atlantis atty with Ni200 factory coil. Works great. Cold ohm's is 0.158 and moves to 0.308 while vaped. How does this compare to yours?
Bern18462
I built my own from 6061 billet aluminum on a cnc and used all the dimensions off of the data sheets..... I'll compair my graph to yours when I get home and see if I can post one on here ....

retird
Bern, this may seem like a dumb question but does your juice pop and crackle alot while firing? Maybe why your graph looks that way...looks like it is just regulating temp and wattage with the ohm's staying consistent...
Bern18462
Crazy thing is there is no vape .. And if there is all I get is a little sizzle and that's it ... Very very minimal vape
Bern18462
I can go to 600 degrees and still same thing ... And does not even sense the nickel ... I have to change it Into temp mode and I have done everything possible. ... Re solder ... Re made box ... Re did everything ... Updated the firmware
CongoRocksYou
Yeh where yours isn't registering mine is essentially working too well and overcompensating .. Something is up to say the least and it doesn't seem that it's a completely isolated incident .. I have seen temp control issues with quite a few ppls mods now . speed4mee
Did you test your coil on another temp regulatet device, probably too low temperature at 350°F?
