ISayUntoThee
My problem as of right now is when I try to use any complicated build other than single spaced nickel coils (I've tried twisted and clapton) my TC never kicks on, I see the temp but it'll go and go until the cotton is burned to ash even with the temp set obscenely low at like 200°F As normal single coils work just fine I'm stumped.. any ideas? (I have yet to try my stainless that I just got in, or titanium yet)
VapingBad
Probably be poor terminals, through hole type are particularly bad. I have done dual claptons on a velocity that work fine and mostly use twisted Ni for the last 11 months. One tank that gave me problems with twisted was a cheap Orchid V4 clone, I had to sand the bottom of the screws flat and use tipple twisted 34 AWG (0.16 mm) as 2 strands would not make a good connection in the posts and there is not enough room to wrap them under the screw heads. ISayUntoThee
Authentic velocity with the slotted screws from avid, could they just be dirty? I wash it with soap and water every time I change wicks but maybe not well enough?
VapingBad
Very strange they have excellent terminals, I think I would put some copper in the velocity to test the combined atty & mod resistance and see if it is stable in Atomiser Analyser. Mod res thread.
blueridgedog
I put dual twisted 28g in my tugboat this weekend and it would not kick into TC. I am going to sand down the screws and give it another try. I was derailed by building my new Billow V2 dual coil tank atomizer that really kicks it out.
