Windows TABLETS that support ESCRIBE and the DNA 200?

Recommended Posts

I am currently looking to buy a device that runs Windows OS. Being that I currently only own devices that use MAC OS, I find it a nuisance to try and work with Escribe. So, in an attempt to spend as little money as possible, while getting my money's worth, I think that a tablet may be the way to go, however, I am having difficulty finding them. So, my question is, what tablets are compatible with ESCRIBE, specifically? Any help/advice/suggestions are much appreciated.

I looked at the HP Stream, but I don't think it has a regular sized USB port...at least from what I could see. I did look at the WinBook, and it did have the USB Port. I just didn't know if it would support the Escribre software. So, I might have to look at that one, again.

Yep, it has a micro USB port.  Here is a post from this forum:

This video shows how to use it with USB devices. Only requires an OTG cable, which are cheap.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoPNzx8bcVQ

OTG cable:  http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-5in-Micro-Host-Adapter/dp/B00B4GGW5Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446312393&sr=8-1&keywords=usb+to+micro+usb+cable+otg

At any rate there are many tablets to choose from.  You can also search this forum for "Tablet" and see many post about tablets.  Hope this helps.

im using a chuwi hi8 windows 10 dual OS tablet. $99 at gearbest.com. i really like it, only setback is: limited battery life on tablet, only one usb port (you cant charge the tablet and run escribe with a mod connected at the same time, and as we all know when the dna is connected to escribe it automatically starts charging with no option of turning it off.). so maybe find a tablet with at least usb ports.
