Tjmit1000 Posted September 19, 2015 Author Report Posted September 19, 2015 I'm trying to plug in my screen and all I'm doing is stressing the ribbon wire. Is there a trick Idk?
lexalove Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 I always use ceramic pliers to put mine in.
Podunk Steam Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 KTM Rider mentioned a round tooth pick in the hole nearest the connection point on the ribbon. I've tried it and it works well.
scoopy Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 Are u lifting the tab on the board where the ribbon goes.... Doing what Podunk said works very vell
Guest Posted October 11, 2015 Report Posted October 11, 2015 flatten the grabbing end of the tweezers so they have a good 4 or 5mm square flatness so the screen ribbon can be held well. lift the locking tab, get them down there as close as you can to the end of the ribbon contacts, make sure its going in square and level with the flat of the board and it slides in easily.(im talking about when the screen is fixed in place in the mod and your bringing the wired up board to it, obviously)
vegabob Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 I have used a small wooden pick in the round hole closet to the end on the ribbon cable to help push the cable in plug.
scoopy Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 That's exactly what I do vegabob. ....works very well
