I've spoken to a representative and she said I didn't need to use the software immediately. I'm have a great time using it out of the box. Is this safe?

Yes it safe but of cause you need escribe to have better performance.

It's definitely safe, but it seems a real shame to own such a high-end mod and not use all it's features. You would have been better off buying a cheaper mod if you don't intend to use escribe...

If you ask the supplier or your local vape shop to put the latest beta firmware on it for you, it will be not only safe, but very serviceable as it comes with all common metals pre-programed now.  Be certain to specify the current test firmware, not the current release firmware.  Available here:

I already mastered the custom coil TCRs. I was just wondering if it was ok because I tried it on my way to a friend's before using escribe. I'm definitely the person who needs a DNA 200. I'm vaping a .2ohm Clapton coil at 70W in power only mode and I keep my resistance as far below .5ohms as possible with Ti forTemp control. I can use that link (s) though, blueridgedog, thanks.
