FenixNR
So, my coil is a .3 and the dna200 reads a .38. My other build is a .35 and my DNA reads .45. What the heck is going on?
BillW50
Where are you getting this 0.30 and 0.35 ohm from? What are you reading this from?
FenixNR
Ohm reader and a different box. Both of them show the same, my one tuglyfe shows it proper but my other DNA custom setup doesn't show it properly.
BillW50
Well the DNA200 reads ohms from the board, through the mod itself, through the 510, through the atty, and then the coil(s) resistance. Each one is in series and adds up along the way. The DNA200 can be programmed to ignore these resistances, but it must be calibrated to do so. FenixNR
I've got the tool on the way so hopefully that's it.
blueridgedog
I doubt the tool will show you a .08 or a .1 mod resistance unless there is an error. One of mind starting reading the ohms off by .05 (a massive amount for Ti) and it ended up being poor grounding (I had to remove the board and reseat it). FenixNR
The board is grounded through the front of the case, 4 screws, but he didn't ground the 510, so that might be the issue. I'll have someone here take a look and see if they can ground the 510 and see if that helps as well.
