Got a friend with lavabox ..he said everytime he takes it out of temp control it turns it back on ...any suggetions

What kind of wire are they using that it kicks back into temperature control (protection)? Anyway if you set to the highest temperature and go one click higher it will display off. And it never goes back.

He just told me he did reset on it.now it wont change settings or anything

He doesn't need to do anything it will not try and temp limit Kanthal, it's automatic it senses it is not a temp sensing wire.
